Non-specific moves

These are the moves and abilities common to many, if not all, characters.

Dash Dashes towards the opponent. Arcade-Stick-Right.pngArcade-Stick-Right.png
Back dash Dashes away from the opponent. Arcade-Stick-Left.pngArcade-Stick-Left.png
Small jump Hops a little. Tap Arcade-Stick-UL.png or Arcade-Stick-Up.png or Arcade-Stick-UR.png or press the control stick part way.
Normal Jump Hops normally. Arcade-Stick-UL.png or Arcade-Stick-Up.png or Arcade-Stick-UR.png
High Jump Hops higher. Press Arcade-Stick-Down.pngArcade-Stick-UL.png or Arcade-Stick-Down.pngArcade-Stick-Up.png or Arcade-Stick-Down.pngArcade-Stick-UR.png
Running Small Jump Hops a little towards to opponent. Press shortly Arcade-Stick-UR.png during dash or backstep If your Stand is active, you will jump higher.
Running Normal Jump Hops normally towards to opponent. Press Arcade-Stick-UR.png during dash or backstep If your Stand is active, you will jump higher and you will go further.
Double Jump Jumps a second time while in air. Arcade-Stick-Up.png in air
  1. Must be performed in Stand mode.
  2. Only characters with an Active Stand can perform.
Triple Jump Jumps a third time while in air. Arcade-Stick-Up.pngArcade-Stick-Up.png in air
  1. Must be performed in Stand mode.
  2. Only characters with an Active Stand can perform.
  3. Only can be done after Stand Release and it works only Avdol's, (New) Kakyoin's and Polnareff's Stands.
Dodge Dashes forward slightly behind the opponent Arcade-Button-3xPunch.png
  1. Can only be performed without Stand.
  2. Character can't be hit during a dodge (but can be grabbed).
Taunt Taunts the opponent. Arcade-Button-Start.png
Throw Throws an opponent. When close, Arcade-Stick-Left.png or Arcade-Stick-Right.png+Arcade-Button-HPunch.png
Advancing Guard Breaks a guarded attack and moves forward. When guarding, Arcade-Button-3xPunch.png
Air Recovery After being juggled into the air, regains control. Any direction+Arcade-Button-2xPunch.png
Guard Cancel Breaks a guarded attack into a counterstrike.

This motion changes between the two games!
Stand Appearance Attack The Stand appears and attacks the opponent. Arcade-Stick-Qcf.png+Arcade-Button-Special.png
  1. Can only be performed without Stand.
  2. Only available to characters with a Stand.
  3. If you do it with Avdol, (New) Kakyoin, Polnareff, it will release their Stands.
Tandem Attack Stores up a series of moves, then releases the stand to attack the opponent. Arcade-Stick-Qcb.png+Arcade-Button-Special.png, hold Arcade-Button-Special.png, input your moves while holding Arcade-Button-Special.png, release Arcade-Button-Special.png
  1. Can only be performed without Stand.
  2. Uses a Super Combo level.
  3. Only available to characters with a Stand.
