NOTE: If you are playing the US version of the game ("Super Space Invaders '91"), this cutscene will not appear; you will proceed to Round 4 as normal. Also, if you should choose to start a game as Player 2, the blue parts of the CG30 in both World 1A's cutscene and this one will be coloured red instead.

Area 1 (US: Round 4)[edit]

MJ12 World 1B-1.png

Welcome to the game (if you are playing the Japanese version). This area contains twenty-two Large Invaders, twenty-two Medium Invaders, and eleven Small Invaders in a horizontally-moving formation; they may not be the originals, but they still behave identically to them, and the song you will be hearing from the Yamaha YM-2610 is a new composition.

Area 2 (US: Round 5)[edit]

MJ12 World 1B-2.png

This area contains fourteen Type 1 Circling Invaders and eighteen Type 2 Circling Invaders (in, as their name implies, a circling formation); the formation was first employed by the Flector in the first stage of Return of the Invaders (1985).

Area 3 (US: Round 6)[edit]

MJ12 World 1B-3.png

This area (again) contains: twenty-two Large Invaders, twenty-two Medium Invaders, and eleven Small Invaders in a horizontally-moving formation; once you have cleared it, you will proceed to the first "Cattle Mutilation" (regardless of which version you are playing). So, when a UFO beams one of the Cattle up, be careful while trying to shoot it down.
