- Key
- Range: How far the projectile can travel. Range is measured in meters.
- Accuracy: The higher the more accurate, 1 being 100% accurate.
- Lethality: The chance of killing the target if struck. Cannon balls and stones flung by artillery can bounce and hit more men.
- Power: How many hitpoints of damage it does to the target on a lethal hit. Average soldiers have 1 hitpoint, but generals, nobles with warrior virtues, princes, monarchs and berserkers have more than 1. Mainly used to calculate how much damage is done to buildings. Most artillery has a blast radius which represents splash damage. Soldiers inside the blast radius have a 25% chance of being killed.
- Armor piercing: Armor protects against missile fire, armor piercing missiles reduce the protection. An armored target with level 4 armor only has 2 armor against weapons with 50% armor piercing, for example.
- Reload time: For units it is expressed in frames, 14 frames is about 1 second.
Name | Range | Accuracy | Lethality | Power | Armor piercing | Reload Time | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Short Bow | 100 | 0.6 | 12% | 1 | 0% | 4 | The most basic and common missile. Used by archers the world over. |
Long Bow | 120 | 0.6 | 12% | 1 | 50% | 4 | An improved shortbow. Longer range and armor piercing. Used by Longbowmen and some elite ambush units like sherwood foresters. |
Mounted Bow | 100 | 0.55 | 12% | 1 | 0% | 4 | The bow most mounted archers use. The same as a shortbow except slightly less accurate. It has, however, the same range contrary to popular opinion. |
Crossbow | 100 | 0.7 | 18% | 2 | 60% | 15** | Crossbows provide a more powerful shot than regular bows. More accurate, does more damage and pierces armor. It does take longer to reload, however. |
Arbalest | 120 | 0.75 | 23% | 3 | 70% | 15** | Arbalests are better in every way than normal crossbows. Longer range, more accurate, deadlier and pierces armor better. |
Javelin | 30 | 0.15 | 36% | 2 | 70% | 3 | Javelins are used by skirmishers. Their poor accuracy is not much of a problem since they have to fire from such a short range. Very damaging to highly armored units. |
Grenade | 26 | 0.03 | 100% | 6 | 100% | 6 | The grenade of a Naptha thrower is very deadly and short ranged. |
Hand Gun | 40 | 0.05 | 72% | 4 | 98.5% | 30** | Handguns can be very deadly but have a long reload time, short range and are not very accurate. However, as an added bonus, they cause fear. |
Arquebus | 80 | 0.07 | 72% | 4 | 98.5% | 30** | An improved Handgun. Has almost the same range as a shortbow, but good luck hitting anything at that range. |
Ballista | 200 | 0.9 | 100% | 40 | 100% | 11 seconds** | Ballistae have double the range of archers and are highly accurate. Can only kill one man at a time, however, and does only slight damage to buildings. |
Catapult | 240 | 0.6 | 100%* | 80 | 100% | 16 seconds** | Catapults have a slightly higher range but are much less accurate. They fire rocks which bounce and can kill several men at a time. Does double the damage to buildings as a Ballista, if it can hit it. Has a 2 meter blast radius. |
Trebuchet | 240 | 0.6 | 100%* | 150 | 100% | 20 seconds** | An improved catapult with more power and the same dodgy accuracy. Has a 2 meter blast radius. |
Mangonel | 240 | 0.6 | 100%* | 250 | 100% | 20 seconds** | The same as a Trebuchet, just does more damage. Has a 2.5 meter blast radius. |
Mortar | 240 | 0.6 | 100% | 100 | 100% | 14 seconds** | A primitive gunpowder weapon. Not much better than a catapult. Has a 2.5 meter blast radius. |
Bombard | 320 | 0.8 | 100%* | 150 | 100% | 20 seconds** | A long range gunpowder weapon. Much better accuracy than siege weapons. Has a 2.5 meter blast radius. |
Demi Culvern | 320 | 0.9 | 100%* | 100 | 100% | 16 seconds** | Long range, highly accurate but not much power. Has a 2 meter blast radius. |
Demi Cannon | 320 | 0.9 | 100%* | 150 | 100% | 20 seconds** | Slightly more powerful than the Demi-Culvern Has a 2.5 meter blast radius. |
Culvern | 480 | 0.9 | 100%* | 250 | 100% | 16 seconds** | Super long range, very accurate and very powerful attack. Has a 2.5 meter blast radius. |
Siege Cannon | 540 | 0.8 | 100%* | 450 | 100% | 20 seconds** | The most powerful and longest range attack available. Fairly accurate as well. Has a 2.5 meter blast radius. |
Serpentine | 320 | 0.9 | 100%* | 40 | 100% | 11 seconds** | A long range weapon. Not much power against buildings but good to attack units with. Has a 2 meter blast radius. |
Organ Gun | 60 | 0.9 | 100%* | 100 | 100% | 36 seconds** | Extremely short range buy can kill many men per shot. Has a 12 meter blast radius. |
* Bounces on impact.
** Can reload and fire later.
