ACDC

Head towards the ACDC Metroline station. Talk to man in the back to find out that no trains are running because of a landslide. Exit the station, you'll get an email from Dex challenging you to a battle with GutsMan. Jack in Lan's computer and bookmark Dex's link past the merchant if you haven't do so already. You're supposed to go to internet area 2, but you'll need Dex's permission. Jack out and go to Dex's house. He'll first want a Recov50 L chip that can be found in Mayl's piano before the battle. Get the chip if you haven't already and give it to Dex. You'll have to take on GutsMan for the link. This version has 400 HP and is a bit faster than the previous version. However, his fighting style is the same. After you beat him, Dex will give you the link /Dex and a GutsMan G chip. Go back to the path to Internet 2. You can jack into Dex's computer as a shortcut if you already went through his access point.

Attacks

  • Creates a rock cube in MegaMan's area with 100 HP.
  • Pounds the ground which drops 3 boulders for 30 damage.
  • Small totem pops up and shoots a beam across one row for 70 damage.

Strategy

StoneMan is stationary in the back column middle row. Unlike other bosses, he can't be stunned with powerful attacks, which is a good thing since that means you can spam attacks without having to wait. When the battle starts, he'll create a durable rock cube. To prevent him from placing one where it can protect him from your attacks, step to the front middle panel as soon as the battle starts, since he can't place a block where you're standing. He'll also keep destroying the old one and summoning new ones every third time he attacks.

His most common attack is dropping boulders, you can tell where they're going to fall by the shadow on the panel, so stay calm, and dodge as necessary. When his health gets low, he will use the beam attack. The small totem pops up slowly, so there is plenty of time to move to a different row.

Once StoneMan is defeated, MegaMan will destroy the boulder blocking the metroline. Jack out and head to the metroline station. Buy a ticket to the government complex. To use the ticket, just walk through the gate.
