The first time you enter Santalune Forest, Shauna will join you so that you can go through the forest together. Until you exit to Route 3, Shauna will follow you around. While she doesn't help you during battles, you can talk to her any time to fully restore your Pokémon. Use this opportunity to train your Pokémon and catch any new Pokémon you want, as you don't need to go back to Aquacorde Town to heal.
