Your vehicle can be outfitted with various forms of protection, including armor and laser guns. But the effects of these items only last for one round; once you proceed to the next round, you lose all of their benefits and start over. If you ever collide with an enemy vehicle, or get caught in a mine explosion, you will lose one life.
