Haohmaru's fearless sword had no equal, but predictably, no one had been challenging him, and so he was in a rut.
Discussing the matter with his master Nicotine, he replied with a smile.
"I've developed a technique that can manipulate time and space. It can send a person to the far future. What do you think of fighting strong people in the future?"
"Yeah!" answered Haohmaru, with fighting spirit aplenty. And, with the power of this technique, Haohmaru was flung into the future.
He immediately entered the fighting tournament, eager to test his sword out.
