Mission progression[edit]

Regardless of version and difficulty level, all missions follow the same progression. It goes as follows:

  1. Take off from launch pad.
  2. Avoid enemy fire while attacking enemy air, ground, or water crafts.
  3. Gather the bomb from it's ground location.
  4. Carry the bomb safely to the target.
  5. Deposit the bomb on the target's center to completely destroy it.
    • If there is another target in the mission, repeat steps 3-5.
  6. Land on the landing strip before running out of fuel.

Many objectives are brought to your attention throughout the mission such as "GET THE BOMB" and "LAND HERE." The presence of a target is indicated by repeating chiming as it appears on the screen. If you miss a bomb, you will be unable to bomb the next target. If you are shot while holding a bomb, or press the loop button, you will drop your bomb and be unable to use it on the next target. If you miss the center of the target, and hit the left or right sides of it, you will only earn 500 points, and you will not receive credit for destroying a target in the battle report. If you miss the landing strip at the end of the level, you will automatically run out of fuel and crash but the stage will still advance.
