Slash Kamei
Age 10, Male, Balance Type

Slash is the most balanced character in the game with average stats on speed, turning, and jumps. He is seen throughout the game to be mischievous and is usually shown alongside Jam annoying the girls. Slash will be the best character for beginners when playing the first game of the series.

*Speed 2
*Turn 2
*Trick 2

Jam Kuehnemund
Age 10, Male, Balance Type

Jam is another balanced character similar to Slash. He can usually be found breakdancing or busy wreaking havoc or taunting Linda with Slash.

*Speed 1½
*Turn 2½
*Trick 2½

Wendy Lane
Age 10, Female, Trick Type

Wendy is a new addition to the series.  She is similar to Nancy but has more focus on jumps and turning than she does on speed. She is a specialist character used mainly for stunt mode.  During cutscenes, she is portrayed as an inventor who builds a spaceship and a shrink ray.  She also invented the rocket, an item you can use in Snowboard Kids 2. Like Nancy, Wendy has the same stats and so does Coach.
*Speed 1
*Turn 3
*Trick 3

Nancy Neil
Age 10, Female, Trick Type

Nancy is very good at turning and jumps but is very slow and so is often used for the courses with harder turns or stunt mode. On the story mode she is seen to be sweet and passive and seems unaffected by the constant fighting between Slash, Jam, and Linda.

*Speed 1
*Turn 3
*Trick 3

Linda Maltinie
Age 11, Female, Speed Type

Linda is a rich girl and also the second fastest of the non-secret characters; however, she is slightly lacking in her turning and jump skills. She is often shown in cutscenes to be snobby, irritable, and very competitive.  Because of this, she is frequently a target of Slash and Jam's combined taunting.

*Speed 2½
*Turn 1½
*Trick 1½

Tommy Parsy
Age 10, Male, Speed Type

Tommy is an overweight boy who makes up for his low turning and trick stats with blinding speed.  He is a good pick for more experienced players. For good reason, Tommy has been Slash's friend since childhood.

*Speed 3
*Turn 1
*Trick 1

Damien
Age Unknown, Male, ???? Type

Damien is the best of the balanced characters and is unlocked after beating him in story mode. Throughout the story he is constantly trying to interfere with the other kids games or activities but his plans fail (usually comically) and is often caught in the crossfire of the others arguments. Like Nancy, Damien has good handling. Damien also seems to have a crush on Nancy, but he fails to talk to her. The effects end similar to the failed schemes to interfere the others.
*Speed 2½
*Turn 3
*Trick 1½

Coach
Age Unknown, Male, Trick Type

The best character for stunts but also the slowest in the game. Therefore Coach has the same stats as Nancy.
*Speed 1
*Turn 3
*Trick 3

Mr. Dog
Age Unknown, Male, Speed Type

The fastest character in the game but has trouble navigating simple turns or jumping trivial gaps in the course, probably due to his weight. He is the owner of the board shop in both games. Mr. Dog has the same stats as Tommy.
*Speed 3
*Turn 1
*Trick 1

Boards
There are three sets of boards that you have to use during normal mode, Balance, Trick, and Speed, with three levels each.  You get the v1 of each set at the beginning of the game.  During the game you can buy upgrades for each of the sets, each upgrade increases the speed of the board.

Balance Boards
Balance Boards are, as the name suggests, balanced in stats. All three levels have Turn and Jump at a solid 4 and L1 has speed at 3 and each level it goes up by 2 points.I recommend them for all tracks.

<table style="border:1px #c0c0c0 solid;">
<tr><td style="background-color:#c0c0c0;font-weight:bold;">Level</td><td style="background-color:#c0c0c0;font-weight:bold;">Cost (G)</td></tr>

<tr><td style="background-color:#dbdbdb;">2</td><td style="background-color:#e9e9e9;">~</td></tr>
<tr><td style="background-color:#dbdbdb;">3</td><td style="background-color:#e9e9e9;">~</td></tr>
</table>

Trick Boards
The name, just like all the sets, says it all, this board is for tricks. It has Turn and Jump at a very high 5, but L1 only starts out with 2 speed, and with every level adds 2.

<table style="border:1px #c0c0c0 solid;">
<tr><td style="background-color:#c0c0c0;font-weight:bold;">Level</td><td style="background-color:#c0c0c0;font-weight:bold;">Cost (G)</td></tr>

<tr><td style="background-color:#dbdbdb;">3</td><td style="background-color:#e9e9e9;">~</td></tr>
</table>

Speed Boards
Speed boards are made for speed, and it shows. This set has its Turn and Jump at 3, which makes it very hard to control, but L1 has its Speed at 4, and gains 2 more points every level.

<table style="border:1px #c0c0c0 solid;">
<tr><td style="background-color:#c0c0c0;font-weight:bold;">Level</td><td style="background-color:#c0c0c0;font-weight:bold;">Cost (G)</td></tr>

<tr><td style="background-color:#dbdbdb;">3</td><td style="background-color:#e9e9e9;">~</td></tr>

Special Boards
Poverty Board
A below par board which constantly drains your money, best avoided.

Feather Board
A board that always has great jump stats. Useful for tricks.

Ice Board
A reasonably fast board but has atrocious turning.

Star Board
The best all round board with good speed, turning and jumping.

Rich Board
An above average board which constantly increases money and so is often used to get money to buy other boards.

Dragon Board
A board that always has a rocket and wings attached, its similar to the ice board in that it has the worst turning in the game. You can get this board by beating the dinosaur in the Crazy Jungle stage in Expert Mode.

Ninja Board
A board that makes the player invincible. But very poor speed.

Charm Board
An above average board which prevents the player being hit with ghosts

High-Tech Board
A very good board which always has a fan attached.

Turtle Island
*Length: 1,379m
*Difficulty: 2 / 5
Another simple level set in a tropical island, half way through the level your character falls though a waterfall and continues the rest of the track underwater. The music also burrows somewhat from the dizzy land level from the previous game.

Jingle Town
*Length: 1,480m
*Difficulty: 2 / 5
A moderate level which features a few gaps and tight turns and is notable for rabbits trying to trip the player over.

Jingle Town (Boss Stage)
*Length: 1,480m
*Difficulty: 3 / 5
A replay of the previous Jingle Town level only at night. The boss is a giant snowman robot which fires snowballs at you; the objective is to hit him with enough of the given items before he reaches the end of the track.

Wendy's House
*Length: 1,656m
*Difficulty: 3 / 5
A moderately hard course set in Wendy's house while the kids are shrunk, it features a pendulum from a clock and a giant piano.

Linda's Castle
*Length: 1,532m
*Difficulty: 3 / 5
Another moderately hard level which features frequent jumps, very sharp turns and outside has sheeps running around which cause the player to trip if hit by them.

The last moderately hard level due to alligators,tiki-bombs and very tight turns.

Crazy Jungle (Boss Stage)
*Length: 1,603m
*Difficulty: 4 / 5
A replay of the previous Crazy Jungle level in which the character races against a dinosaur.  This is made very hard because the dinosaur will trample you if you get close and will drop eggs while moving in an attempt to trip you up.(the tiki bombs are not used in the night version of crazy jungle)
*Wendy also takes a shortcut in this course. Therefore 8-year-old Wendy followed what Linda did at Quicksand Valley as a CPU player in the first Snowboard Kids game.

Starlight Highway
*Length: 1,520m
*Difficulty: 4 / 5
A hard course set in space which has moving asteroids,Back 2 Back Jumps as well as a teleporter at the end of the level instead of a ski lift which all the other levels use.

Another hard level featuring ghosts on various parts of the level, touching these will slow you down considerably.

Ice Land
*Length: 1,668m
*Difficulty: 4 / 5
The final level in story mode, the course is long and treacherous and is the first time you play against Damien.
*Damien is quick, fast and difficult. He will use every trick he can to hurt you. He can also avoid attacks with ease.

Ice Land (Boss Stage)
*Length: 1,668m
*Difficulty: 5 / 5
A replay of the previous Ice Land level where the level is foggier and you must fight against a giant robot version of Damien while he is constantly attacking you with all the different items.

Snowboard Street
*Length: 1,420m
*Difficulty: 3 / 5
An easy level which features the street which all the kids live on, it is notable for its 2 very large jumps in the middle of the level. This course is also used in the time and shot modes of the game.
After the large 2nd jump, there are trees. You can go through them. Very useful shortcut.
