Obviously, this can be reduced or even negated by (Improved) {{KotOR|Force powers|Energy Resistance}} or {{KotOR|Combat|Damage Resistance}} or {{KotOR|Combat|Damage Immunity}}: vs. Electrical, so if you took the hint before triggering the trap then there's no need to suffer too much to spare Mekel.
