It was the first TMNT game, and had alternate names for both the EU and Japanese releases (Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles and Gekikame Ninja Den (激亀忍者伝, Gekikame Ninja Den^? "Fierce Turtle Ninja Legend") respectively).
