Once you have inserted the disk for Rauser Advertainment's Factor 5-developed Germany-only 1994 platform game Tony and Friends in Kellogg's Land into the Commodore Amiga, it shall load automatically; however, in the case of the MS-DOS version, you will have to download it from a site that hosts it (along with DOSBox and Loonies' DOSShell), then set the latter application up to play it (as it won't run by itself on today's Windows operating systems). Once the Rauser Advertainment and Factor 5 logos have appeared on the screen, the game's opening theme will start to be heard in the Amiga version as the Kellogg Company's logo appears on the screen and the German text of "präsentiert", which means "presents", appears below it - and the game's title screen shall now appear. The following German text, which explains how this game is freely distributable within its country of origin will now appear:
The second and third paragraphs also explain that commercialization is approved by Kellogg Germany GMBH and that the characters featured in it are registered trademarks of the Kellogg Company, USA (but the hotline for queries is long-gone now); the game's main menu (which displays five options: HIGHSCORES, ANLEITUNG, OPTIONS, START and EXIT) will then appear. Push the joystick up and down (or press the up and down arrow keys) to select an option then press the button (or Alt ) to confirm your choice - and if you select HIGHSCORES the game's high score table will be displayed, but if you select OPTIONS you can push the joystick left and right (or press the left and right arrow keys) to turn the game music ("MUSIK") and effects ("EFFEKTE") on ("EIN") or off ("AUS"), even though this does not make any difference in DOSBox. If you select START, the game will fade to the map shown above, and start in the first stage; however, if you select ANLEITUNG (which means "instructions"), the following German text will be displayed:
The first paragraph explains about Amiga joystick control (and the characters' special abilities) while the second and third ones explain about MS-DOS keyboard control (and how to activate the characters' special abilities); the game will then start in the training stage, but remember that if you are using an Amiga A500, the screen will fade to black at this point, and the exact same thing shall happen if you are using WinUAE and it is emulating an A500.
