Fighting games: move lists

See: Street Fighter Alpha. I havent had the time to check all of the character move lists, but from what I've seen the move lists on that article are duplicates. Should they be removed? I wasn't sure, as I saw a move list on a main article in the past (I can't remember which article it was though). RobJ1981 15:39, 3 April 2008 (CDT)

I'm not sure what the fighting games project initiative has come up with, but looking at that page I believe it was intended - a full movelist display, with detailed character subpages that include the movelist. From my perspective, this is very useful. From a guide perspective, it's useful as well (although duplications can be a pain to keep up to date, these should never change) because we have the summary of moves (quick reference) as well as detailed entries where people should be able to gain additional information on their preferred character(s). Noting these things, it's still possible SW will decide against the duplication. We'll see what Procyon has to say... --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 20:05, 3 April 2008 (CDT)
There is no duplication, it's all through transclusion. -- Prod (Talk) 20:27, 3 April 2008 (CDT)
Sorry NMH. I gave my response to Rob directly on his talk page. Procyon (Talk) 21:24, 3 April 2008 (CDT)

Extra categories on Rogue Galaxy?

I noticed there is several extra dates that shouldn't be there (unless there was something new added to articles that I don't know about). They don't appear when I go to fix it. Shouldn't it just be December 8 and 2005 for date categories, since those were the original release day and year? RobJ1981 15:28, 5 April 2008 (CDT)

See the forums — we've decided to categorise guides by all release dates now, and so they're now being automatically put in the date categories by the release date templates. There's no longer any need to manually categorise guides by any release date, so you can remove release date categories from guides as you come to them (there's no need to go around doing it specially though — they're doing no harm). --DrBob (talk) 16:45, 5 April 2008 (CDT)

Mini-game category

I brought it up on the forum in March, but only you and a few others replied. Would it be alright to create one? Something such as Mini-game collection seems fine. There is more than enough content for it, and games such as Mario Party have many genres (due to a few mini-games) for them. So it seems wrong to just label them with numerous genres. RobJ1981 13:54, 7 April 2008 (CDT)

We'll create the category, but check the forums again because I'm not sure which name to use (minigame, mini-game, or mini game). --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 16:19, 7 April 2008 (CDT)
I apologize NMH, I went ahead and told Rob to create Category:Party on the basis that WP listed those types of games under the Party genre. I checked Mario Party, Raving Rabbids, and Pac-Man Fever, and GF had them all listed as Party as well. If there's still a debate about this, we can always put on bot on the changes. System question regarding compilation games

Should games part of a compilation (such as Dr. Mario that was part of a Nintendo Puzzle collection), be listed for that console? The collection was for GameCube, so should Dr. Mario be listed with GameCube or no? Another example would be all the classic games in Animal Crossing: should those be listed with a GameCube category and listed in the infobox? RobJ1981 15:31, 8 April 2008 (CDT)

Re: Thanks!

Don't congratulate me yet, dude. There're still the walkthroughs that need to be done, but hopefully I can nab some tactics from some GameFaqs guides and stuff. What's up with that guy, anyway? --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 08:19, 9 April 2008 (CDT)

Hmm. Well, let's see if he's narcissistic enough to revert my edits. Then that'll be for some real lolz =P --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 18:32, 9 April 2008 (CDT)

SSBB

I'd suggest putting all the multi-man brawls on the same page, unless they need more than that much space. And before splitting the page, move it somewhere and then split it so you don't lose the edit history. I'd also suggest archiving this talk page ;). -- Prod (Talk) 02:22, 16 April 2008 (CDT)

No, stadium -> Target Smash, subpage from there and don't delete it at the end. That way you can say "info from ssbb/targets" in the edit summary and not have to worry any further about attribution. -- Prod (Talk) 13:34, 16 April 2008 (CDT)
NMH, I hate to say this (and I mean I really hate to say this,) but MrSue's latest edit to SSBB about King Dedede was actually accurate. We need to rectify this, because your ban was a little rash, and his edit was in good faith. I'll leave it up to you how to handle it. Procyon (Talk) 10:29, 18 April 2008 (CDT)

Sorry for trying to help and provide links to detailed walk throughs of just skullbagger 1 for Viking. I saw no where in the TOS where it said this was disallowed.
