:I tried what I could to recover the database, but unfortunately the control data is what got damaged by the drive failure. In the interests of getting the site back up and running/useful I had to restore from the latest valid backup we had. I've kept a copy of the database files before I restored the databases, and I'm going to see if I can pull the latest changes out of them, but I can't make any promises. Do you know the names of the specific pages that you modified so I can search for them directly? -- Prod (talk) 05:34, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

::It's interesting that you mentioned using a text editor first. Lately, I have been using Google Drive for a similar purpose. I can create content when I'm somewhere where access to SW is blocked, and then I can copy/paste the content later on (and I don't have to worry about where I save it since it's on the cloud). I forget how frequently we perform backups, but I'm pretty sure it's once every 24 hours, so if I hold on to my content for a day, its safe to assume it was backed up. Hope this idea helps you. Procyon 15:18, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

:If I manage to get any data back, I'll do what I can to merge information. Otherwise, I'll just save it as a separate page (on like a subpage or a talk page) and you can take out whatever information you can. -- Prod (talk) 08:03, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
