The bonus character in this 2nd scene is Yellow Ghost (BT YellowGhost.png) which is worth 3 points, and a score of 95 points is required to continue to the next scene.

Once the diorama has lit up for the second time in the game, eight Unagi will materialize from the ruined temple near the top-left of the screen and make their way towards the bottom of it; once you fire a shot at each of these to kill them, the sunken ship shall move slightly to the left and two materialization clouds will appear in both of the caverns as a Yellow Ghost and two Tosu emerge from them. Once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them, three Tuna will swim across the screen in a V-shaped formation from the top-right of it - and once you've fired a shot at each of these to kill them, the treasure chest and clam will open while the sunken ship moves slightly to the left and two more materialization clouds appear in both caverns as four more Tosu, another Yellow Ghost and two more Unagi emerge from them (however, they emerge one at a time, so the next character will appear once one of them has been killed). Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, the treasure chest will open, the sunken ship will move slightly towards the left and two more materialization clouds will appear in both caverns, as three more Tosu, two more Unagi and a third Yellow Ghost emerge from them all at once; once you have shot as many of them as you can to kill them, the trapdoor on top of the sunken ship shall open as seven more Tosu emerge from it. Once you fire a shot at all of them to kill them seven more Tuna will materialize from the left cavern and make a loop as they exit from the middle-left of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, seven more Unagi will emerge from the left cavern and make a loop as they exit from the middle-right of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, a materialization cloud will appear in the ruined temple as a fourth Yellow Ghost and twelve Boulders emerge from it; once you have fired off a shot at the Yellow Ghost to kill it (as the Boulders are not worth any points) the Boulders shall combine themselves to form Boss Idol (the scene's boss character) while three more Yellow Ghosts merge with it. Once you've fired a shot at each of the Yellow Ghosts to kill them, Boss Idol shall start stomping around the screen - and if you manage to defeat him before the timer runs out, three more Yellow Ghosts will appear (which can be killed for up to nine extra points), and you will again receive a small time bonus (which, again, varies based on the time you have remaining after defeating Boss Idol). If you scored 95 or more points the text "SCENE 2 CLEAR" will appear on the screen as the electro-mechanical diorama turns off its lights again; the scoreboard shall then appear as the "ZIP" (or "ZAP") box is lifted above the "GHOST" one and the text "ZIP/ZAP WON!" appears on the screen. You shall then proceed to the third scene - however, if you only scored less than 95 points, the text "SCENE 2 OVER" will appear on the screen, and the "ZIP" (or "ZAP") box on the scoreboard will drop to the bottom of the screen, as the text "GHOSTS WON!" appears on it, and the game ends (and in such a case, you shall have to insert another coin into the cabinet and start the game over from the beginning, for as many attempts as it may take you to make it to the end of this scene with a score of 95 or more points).
