Once the background has reappeared in front of Hiromi, the eagle-like "Mothership" will fly over her and come to a landing in front of her as its back door opens up and she automatically speeds through it into the ship; once she has reappeared inside the ship, a screen showing a diagram of the area's boss character will come down in front of her, as the "Commander" flies into view on a hovering platform then points out the boss character's weak points with a stick, while the three-script text Bosu teki wīkupointo koko wo nerau (ボス敵ウィークポイントここを狙う) appears on the diagram. Once the "Commander" has flown out of view again, a claw holding a cab-like attachment will come down from the top of the screen, then transform Hiromi's scooter into a flying ship, for the third time in the game - and once the claw has gone back up to the top of the screen, Hiromi will move on up to the centre of the screen and blast off through the window at the front of the ship. (The claw that holds the cab-like attachment will also reappear to retransform Hiromi's scooter into a ship if she should ever lose a life during the course of this area; however, if it was her last life, it will not and she will just fall off the bottom of the screen).

Two Zako-005 will then come hovering towards you while firing projectiles at you; once you have fired off a shot at both of these two to kill them, you will come to eight Zako-040 which are firing machine-gun-like streams of projectiles at you from their positions on the left and right sides of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to four horizontally-oriented but vertically-moving Zako-017 which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on four posts on the left and right sides of the screen - and once you have fired enough shots at each of these ones, to kill them, two groups of four Zako-018 will come hovering towards you from the left and right sides of the screen. Once you have fired off a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to eight more Zako-040 which are firing machine-gun-like streams of projectiles at you upon the left and right sides of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to a lamp-post with a "C" powerup upon its left side and an "H" powerup on its right side. Once you have collected the powerup of your choice two groups of six Zako-006 will come hovering towards you upon the left and right sides of the screen, while a third Zako-005 comes hovering towards you (while firing projectiles at you) - and once you have fired a shot at each of these, to kill them, you will come to five Bomb Launchers in the centre of the screen. Once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to four more Zako-040 which are firing machine-gun-like streams of projectiles at you on the left and right sides of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to two more horizontally-oriented, but vertically-moving, Zako-017 which are firing projectiles at you from their positions upon two posts on the left and right sides of the screen. Once you have fired enough shots at both of them to kill them, you will come to four more Zako-040 which are firing machine-gun-like streams of projectiles at you from the left side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to nine more Bomb Launchers, in the centre of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, you will come to four more Bomb Launchers, on the left and right sides of the screen; once you've fired a shot at each of them, to kill them, two more groups of four more Zako-018 will come hovering towards you on the left and right sides of the screen. Once you have fired off a shot at each of them to kill them, five Zako-046 will fly away from you on the left and right sides of the screen as you come to twelve more horizontally-oriented but vertically-moving Zako-017 which are firing projectiles at you, from their position on twelve posts on the left and right sides of the screen - and once you have fired enough shots at each of them to kill them the background will darken as the area's boss character comes down from the top of the screen and starts flying towards you (even though it's not able to fire shots at you, which will effectively render you invulnerable for the full duration of this fight as it is impossible to lose a life to it). Once you have fired enough shots at each of the three orbs that are circling around the boss (which are its only vulnerable points) to destroy them, the boss itself will explode and Hiromi will move to the centre of the screen as the text "AREA 3 CLEARED" appears above her; you will then receive 10 bonus points for every tenth of a second you have remaining, and go on to the "bonus" Area 4. Even if you run out of time, a win against the boss is still guaranteed.
