FA King Concorde.png

Once your two chosen aircraft have reappeared upon the screen, they will start moving forward again for the eighth (and final) time, as twenty-four Mists come flying towards them, from the left and right sides of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, you will come to a Cyclone that is trying to stay ahead of you on the right side of the screen, while firing projectiles at you from its tail.

Once you have fired enough shots at its tail to destroy it (and its body to kill it), six more Mists will come flying towards you from the left and right sides of the screen while firing projectiles at you - and once you fire a shot at each of these, to kill them, you'll come to two more Cyclones that are trying to stay ahead of you on the left side and in the centre of the screen while firing projectiles at you from their tails.

Once you have fired enough shots at both of their tails to destroy them (and their bodies to kill them) six more Mists will fly towards you from those left and right sides of the screen while firing projectiles at you; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to four more Cyclones that are trying to stay ahead of you on the alternating right and left sides of the screen while firing projectiles at you from their tails.

Once you have fired enough shots at each of those tails to destroy them (and their bodies to kill them) you will come to three more Cyclones that are trying to stay ahead of you on the left side, in the centre of and on the right side of the screen while firing projectiles at you from their tails - and once you have fired enough shots at each of those tails to destroy them (and their bodies to kill them), sixteen more Mists will come flying towards you from the left and right sides of the screen, while firing Type 2 Missiles (which can be blocked for 50 extra points apiece), at you.

Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to three more Cyclones, that are trying to stay ahead of you in the centre of, on the right side of and on the left side of the screen while firing projectiles at you from their tails; once you fire off enough shots at each of their tails to destroy them (and their bodies to kill them), you will come to three more Cyclones that are trying to stay ahead of you on the right side of, on the left side of and in the centre of the screen while firing projectiles at you from their tails.

Once you've fired enough shots at each of those tails to destroy them (and their bodies to kill them), you will come up to two more Cyclones that are trying to stay ahead of you on the left and right sides of the screen while firing projectiles at you from their tails - and once you fire enough shots at both of their tails to destroy them (and their bodies to kill them), you come to two more Cyclones, that are trying to stay ahead of you on the left and right sides of the screen, while firing projectiles at you from their tails.

Once you have fired enough shots at each of their tails to destroy them (and their bodies to kill them) the text "RED ALERT, TARGET IN SIGHT" will appear on the screen, as two more Cyclones fly into view from its left and right sides while firing projectiles at you from their tails - and once you have fired enough shots at both of their tails to destroy them (and their bodies to kill them), you will come up to King Concorde, as it is trying to stay ahead of you in the centre of the screen while firing projectiles and Type 2 Missiles at you from its tail.

Once you have fired enough shots at it to kill it (it will start flashing red when it is close to its defeat), it will explode, and the text "ROUND 8 CLEAR" will appear on the screen as you receive 2000 bonus points for every Parachutist you picked up during the round; the text "RESULT OF OPERATIONS" will then appear on the screen as you receive 10000 bonus points for every mission the game considers as "COMPLETED" (the maximum is 80000) and the text "SPECIAL BONUS" will now appear on the screen as you receive 100000 points for every piece of "ARMOR" you have remaining (the maximum is 700000, if you chose to start the game with five pieces and gained two extras).

Once the exploding King Concorde scrolls off the bottom of the screen, both of your chosen aircraft will fly up off the top of the screen, and the game will go into high-score mode; your scores will probably be the two highest ones on the cabinet to date, so you should enter your initials at the top of the table with pride regardless of which way around they are positioned. Once you have done so, the text "GAME END. Thanx For Your Play!" will appear on the screen - and it will then cut to a shot of the high-score table as it is now standing before going back into attract mode.

Although this game never got a sequel, its original Japanese name became the one the team the player's car was affiliated with in Ridge Racer (1993).
