House Calls[edit]

If you are playing this chapter in normal mode, you will be required to visit the three houses down in the lower left corner. However, by doing so you often glean useful information. For example, the lowest house's resident tells you how to get into the building without having to traverse over the mountains!

Terrain[edit]

You will notice, apart from the forests and plains that you were introduced to earlier, four new types of traversable terrain! Houses give you a little avoid boost as well as some information. Mountains give a decent defense and avoid boost, but mounted units cannot travel over them and non-mounted units will have a much lower movement while on them. Pillars give you a decent defense and avoid boost as well, but with no negative side effects. Finally, the fortresses not only give you the boosts, but they also heal your health if you stay on them for a turn!

Break Down the Wall![edit]

You will see a cracked wall on the west side of the building. After you bring the wall's HP down to 0, it becomes another entrance. Use that to get Kent and Sain inside the building.

Normal Mode[edit]

Fighting Glass

In normal mode, your movements will be controlled until you visit the three houses, which lasts about one turn. After that, you're on your own. Put your lowest-level unit on the fortress closest to the bandit and equip a sword. Wait for the bandit to attack you and then finish him off to gain some experience. After he is gone, pummel the wall with lances to destroy it, then move a sword-wielding unit inside to attack the bandit there. Now, you can either rout the rest of the bandits for some experience or attack Glass right away. When attacking Glass, use Kent or Sain with their lances equipped to deal enough damage for Lyn to deliver the final blow. After Glass is no more, position Lyn on the throne and select "Seize" to clear the chapter and obtain the Mani Katti.

Hard Mode[edit]

Pretty much the only thing that is different in hard mode is that you don't have to visit the houses, so use that to your advantage to position your units in a good defensive formation. Lure the enemies in and counterattack unless you can deliver the finishing blow. If you get injured, use the fortresses to your advantage so you don't waste vulneries. Against Glass, position Sain and Kent on either side with lances equipped and wait for him to attack one of them. The next turn, finish him off with the trio. Before you seize the throne, be sure to clear the map of every enemy, as the extra experience can go a long way in Hard Mode.
