Stage 7 end[edit]

The seven gods of fortune assembled.

When you beat Manuke, and rescue Bishimonten, all of the seven gods of wealth will assemble before Sayo-chan. But the game is not over. The gods will inform her that they do not have a boat to return home. (They say "かないんですけど" next to a picture of a boat, which means they do not have one.) In order to complete the game, she must reach the gods' treasure boat seen at the beginning of the game. At that time, stage 8 will begin.

Stage 8[edit]

Stage 8 is unique in that it will scroll forever unless the proper condition is met. That condition is to find all three of the colored scrolls that are each hidden in one of the many statues that fill the area. As long as the scrolls are not found, the stage will continue endlessly with one group of enemies after another appearing to attack Sayo-chan and stop her from completing her task.

In order to find the scrolls, Sayo must walk up to the various statues and wave her purification wand over them. If one of the statues has the scroll, it will appear and Sayo can collect it. She must do this while attacking or avoiding confrontation with all of the enemies that surround her. The scrolls are in fixed positions and will be found in the same statues every time.

If you have saved at least one blue crystal up to this point, this would be an excellent time to use it. For some reason, due to the repeating nature of this stage, the effects never seem to wear off until all three scrolls have been collected, and Sayo is allowed to proceed to the end. This provides you with a relatively hassle free experience collecting the scrolls.

Once all three scrolls are found, the stage will finish scrolling through the statues once more, and Sayo will be presented with a narrow passage. The stage will come to an end on the other side of that passage, and Sayo will stop in front of the boat. At this time the credits will run, and then the game will start over from Stage 1 at a higher level of difficulty.
