Welcome to the game. Once Yūichirō Tomari and Sunday Chin have appeared on the screen, their ships will start moving forwards as two groups of Hanbaga come zigzagging towards them; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, then collected the 1000 Crystals they have left behind, two more groups of Hanbaga will come zigzagging towards you as Kuchu Yosai passes by at the top of the screen.

Once you have fired a shot at each of the Hanbaga to kill them, and collected the 1000 Crystals they have left behind, twenty Heri will come flying towards you while firing projectiles at you - and once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them, four Aka Hikoki will come flying towards you and fire projectiles at you once their side-mounted guns have stopped rotating. Once you've fired enough shots at each of them to kill them, two more groups of Hanbaga will come zigzagging towards you; once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them and collected the 1000 Crystal they have left behind, Miyuki Chan's Kūchū IN will pass by, and when one player enters it, the other will automatically be drawn in as well.

The first player will now have 20 seconds to choose between a Stock bomber shot for 5000 crystals, a Wide shot and Speed-up for 3000 crystals, and a Vulcan shot for 2000 crystals - and the best choice for now would most likely be the Stock bomber shot, as it will see Namco's signature character Pac-Man creating a shield around Yūichirō's ship, sucking in all the projectile-firing enemies' shots, and spitting them back out at them. Once Yūichirō has paid Miyuki for his chosen special weapon, he will exit the Kūchū IN as the pictures on the screens change and the second player will have 20 seconds to choose between a Wide shot for 3000 crystals, a Homing missile and speed-up for 6000 crystals, and a Fire bomb for 5000 crystals; the best choice would most likely be the Wide shot, as it is five times more powerful than the normal shots.

Once Sunday has paid Miyuki for his chosen special weapon, he and Yūichirō will fly back out of the Kūchū IN and continue onward - and a group of Kame will now emerge from the lower half of the cloud and fly directly at you while firing projectiles at you. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them and collected the 1000 Crystal they leave behind, another group of Kame will emerge from the upper half of the cloud, then fly directly towards you while firing projectiles at you; once you've fired a shot at all of them to kill them, and collected that 1000 Crystal they have left behind, Kuchu Yosai will reappear at the bottom of the screen. While you are trying to drop enough bombs on each of its five roof-mounted projectile-firing cannons to destroy them three groups of six Same will leap into the air in an attempt to land on you from above - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, two more groups of Kame will emerge from both halves of the cloud, then fly directly towards you while firing projectiles at you.

Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them then collected the 1000 Crystals they have left behind, two more groups of Kame will emerge from the middle of the cloud then fly directly towards you while firing projectiles at you; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, then collected the 1000 Crystals they have left behind, four more groups of Kame will emerge from both halves of the cloud, and fly directly towards you while firing projectiles at you.

Once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them and collected the 1000 Crystals they have left behind, an eleventh group of Kame will emerge from the upper half of the cloud, then fly directly towards you while firing projectiles at you - and once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them and collected the 1000 Crystal they've left behind, a twelfth group of Kame will emerge from the lower half of the cloud and fly directly towards you while firing projectiles at you.

Once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them, they will leave a 1000 Crystal behind; Miyuki Chan's Kūchū IN will then pass by for a second time, and again, when one player enters it the other will automatically be drawn in as well. This time, the first player will have 20 seconds to choose between: just a Speed-up for 2000 crystals, a 3-way shot for 6000 crystals, and an After shot for 5000 crystals - and the best choice would most likely be the After shot as it's ten times more powerful than the normal shots. Once Yūichirō has paid Miyuki for his chosen item, he'll exit the Kūchū IN as the pictures on the screens change, and the second player will have 20 seconds to choose between just a Speed-up for 2000 crystals, a Stock bomber shot for 7000 crystals, and a Fire bomb for 5000 crystals; your best choice would most likely be the Stock bomber shot (for Yūichirō will have just had to relinquish it). Once Sunday has paid Miyuki for his chosen special weapon, he and Yūichirō will fly back out of the Kūchū IN and continue onward - and Kuchu Yosai reappears at the bottom of the screen for a second time as the game's first boss.

Once you have fired enough shots at its three front-mounted projectile-firing cannons to destroy them, you will have to aim for its core; once you have fired enough shots at it to destroy it, it capsizes beneath the clouds' surface. Round Clear Bonus: 3000 Round Clear Bonus Crystals: 5000
