Prop Cycle Advanced Mode stage selection screen.png

Regardless of the stage that you first decide to take the challenge of when playing in this mode, all three of their timers shall always begin at 60 seconds (1:00); also, once the text GO has appeared on the screen and you've started pedalling the exercycle, the texts "ADVANCED" and "DAY 1" shall appear in the bottom-left corner. If you manage to burst all the balloons on your chosen stage before the timer runs out, the text "PERFECT!" will appear on the screen to show you got them all as it fades to white (but if you do not manage to burst all the balloons before the timer runs out, the text "TIME UP" shall come up on the screen as it fades to white instead) - and regardless of whether you got them all before the timer ran out or not the level's results screen will now appear as a left-pointing arrow and your score fly into view from its top-right corner, while the route you took through the course is shown on the overhead map of it at its left side as your points are tabulated. The left-pointing arrow and score will then disappear off the top-right corner of the screen, as a right-pointing arrow and the timer fly into view from its top-left one and you receive a bonus of 5 points for each tenth of a second that you have left; once the right-pointing arrow and timer have disappeared off the screen's top-left corner a downward-pointing arrow with the text of "PERFECT POINTS 1000" on it will fold down into view from the top of the screen as you receive a bonus of 1000 points (but only if you managed to burst all the balloons on the course before the timer ran out). If you'd managed to score over 1000 points, a gold plaque with the text "COMPLETED" on it will tumble down onto the screen below the text "POINTS REQUIRED 01000 PTS." - and you will now be treated to a cutscene with the Raperopter's pilot and inventor "Zizy-":

ZIZY-
ZIZY-. I MADE IT!

WE'RE GETTING CLOSER TO SOLITAR.

The text "DAY 2" will then appear on the screen as the game returns to this mode's stage selection screen (however, the stage you have just cleared will now be covered by a red-outlined, white rectangular sticker, with the red text "CLEARED" on it); you will now have ten seconds to select either of the two remaining stages by turning the handlebars left and right, then pressing the Start Button to confirm your choice. Once you do so, the timer will disappear off the top-left of the screen as the stage you picked moves to its left side and the others (including the cleared one) fall off the bottom of it, revealing the text "TO CLEAR STAGE: COLLECT MORE THAN 01500 PTS. EXCEED THE REQUIRED POINTS AND ADVANCE TO THE NEXT STAGE!" behind it - and, regardless of the second level that you decide to take the challenge of in this mode, all three of their timers will always begin at 50 seconds. Once the text GO has appeared on the screen and you've started pedalling the exercycle, the texts "ADVANCED" and "DAY 2" shall appear in the bottom-left corner, and if you manage to score over 1500 points before the timer runs out (regardless of whether you managed to burst all balloons on your second chosen stage or not), you will be treated to another cutscene with the Raperopter's pilot, Zizy-, and its pilot's unnamed girlfriend after the results screen:

I MADE IT...
TODAY...
BUT...
TOMORROW...

DON'T WORRY!
JUST DO YOUR BEST...
THAT'S ALL YOU CAN DO!

The text "DAY 3" will then appear on the screen as the game returns to this mode's stage selection screen (however, the stage you have just cleared will now, much like the first one you cleared, be covered by a red-outlined white rectangular sticker with the red text "CLEARED" on it); you will now have ten seconds to select the only remaining stage as a formality by pressing the Start Button. Once you have done so, the timer will disappear off the top-left of the screen, as the stage you chose moves to its left side, and the other two (cleared) ones fall off the bottom of it, revealing the text "TO CLEAR STAGE: COLLECT MORE THAN 02000 PTS. EXCEED THE REQUIRED POINTS AND ADVANCE TO THE NEXT STAGE!" (the next stage in this context being Solitar, which can neither be selected in Novice Mode, or continued from if you are skilled enough to reach it in this one) behind it - and regardless of the third level that you decide to take the challenge of in this mode, all three of their timers shall always start at 40 seconds. Once the text GO has appeared on the screen, and you've started pedalling the exercycle, the texts "ADVANCED" and "DAY 3" shall appear in the bottom-left corner, and if you manage to score over 2000 points before the timer expires (regardless of whether you managed to burst all balloons on your third chosen stage or not), you shall be treated to a third cutscene with the Raperopter's pilot, Zizy-, and its pilot's girlfriend after the results screen (which is the last before the trip to Solitar):

TOMORROW IS THE DAY YOU GO TO SOLITAR!
YOU BETTER EAT WELL AND GET SOME REST.

SO MANY HAVE FAILED BEFORE YOU.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL...

The texts "SOLITAR" and "ONE ATTEMPT ONLY." will then appear on the screen before the game proceeds to its starting screen for Solitar, which has the text "SAVE SOLITAR!" at its top and "TO CLEAR STAGE: POP ALL RED BALLOONS. GOOD LUCK!" below it; you'll then be treated to a cutscene of the Raperopter and its pilot getting launched into the air by an enormous elastic-band catapult. This stage's timer, which begins at 1:30 (90 seconds), shall now automatically appear in the top-left corner of the screen (much like in both Steel Gunners the game creates the illusion of not having a scoring system on this stage) as camera cuts to a shot of the Raperopter's pilot pedalling towards Solitar itself - and the numbers 3, 2, and 1 will then appear on the screen, followed by the text GO as the Raperopter comes under your control (the texts "ADVANCED" and "SOLITAR" will also appear in the bottom-left corner of the screen at this point, and for this stage, the "balloons" are actually electrified magenta orbs which do not have anything written on them).

Once the Raperopter has dived, you shall have to start pedalling the exercycle as the text "REC" starts flashing in the bottom-right corner of the screen; you will then come to an electrified magenta orb, and once you have burst it, you will have to climb and turn to the left as you come to another electrified magenta orb. Once you have burst this second orb, you shall have to dive and turn to the right as you come to a third electrified magenta orb - and once you have burst it, the text "PERFECT! 9 BALLOONS REMAIN" (this number shall also decrease by one every time you burst another orb) will appear on the screen's right side. You shall then have to turn to the right, climb, and turn to the left, as you come to a fourth electrified magenta orb; once you have burst it, you will have to turn to the right, dive and turn to the left as you come up to a fifth electrified magenta orb. Once you have burst this fifth orb, you will have to turn to the right as you come to a sixth electrified magenta orb - and once you have burst it you will have to turn to the right and climb as you pass through an electrical generator (the turbine on top of which is revolving in an anticlockwise direction) and come up to a seventh electrified magenta orb. Once you have burst this seventh orb, you must turn to the right, climb, and turn to the right again as you come to an eighth electrified magenta orb; once you have burst it, you shall have to turn to the left as you come to a ninth electrified magenta orb. Once you have burst this ninth orb, you will have to pass under a metal railway bridge, turn to the right, and climb as you come up to a tenth electrified magenta orb - and once you have burst it, you will have to turn to the left, dive, turn to the right, and dive again as you come to an eleventh electrified magenta orb. Once you have burst this eleventh orb, you shall have to turn to the left, dive, climb, turn to the right, dive again, and turn to the left again, as you come to a twelfth and final electrified magenta orb; after you have burst it the text "PERFECT!" shall appear on the screen to show you got them all as it fades to white. The game will then proceed to this mode's ending sequence, which shows the Raperopter's pilot pedalling back to Earth, as another electrical generator shorts out and explodes - and all three "islands" of Solitar shall then also start falling to Earth as the picture is shrunk to the top-left corner of the screen and the game's credits start to roll on its right side (the spelling mistakes are also accurate and all the names have animated caricatures of the staff members in question above them):

The stage's results screen shall then appear as a left-pointing arrow and your score (which will be 2700 points) fly into view from its top-right corner, and the route that you took through the course will be shown on the overhead map of it at its left side as your points are tabulated; the left-pointing arrow and score will now disappear off the top-right corner of the screen, as a right-pointing arrow and the timer fly into view from its top-left corner and you receive a bonus of 5 points for every tenth of a second that you have remaining. That right-pointing arrow and timer shall then disappear off the screen's top-left corner, as a downward-pointing arrow with the text of "PERFECT POINTS 1000" on it folds down into view from its top and you receive a bonus of 1000 points - and a gold plaque with the text "COMPLETED" on it shall then tumble down onto the screen beneath your final score for this stage. The screen will now fade to white as the game goes into high-score mode; your final score for all four stages will most likely be the highest on the cabinet to date so you will have 28 seconds to enter your initials at the top of this mode's high score table with pride by using the handlebars to select the letters, numbers, symbols (one of which, you might remember from the Novice Mode, is Namco's signature character Pac-Man) and punctuation marks, then pushing the Start Button to confirm them. Once you have done so, the text "GAME OVER" shall appear on the screen, and the game will go back into attract mode.
