I found the Bulbapedia article for the items, List of items by index number (GB), but I can't find any for "skills." What exactly were you referring to when you put that down? --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 12:48, 15 June 2007 (CDT)

The list of skills is here. Just do a search for a capital A (Match case) and if it's between 1 and 165 then record it.--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 13:03, 15 June 2007 (CDT)
Actually, should we just have one central list for items and one for skills (similar to the Pokédex)? We could make it sortable by type, emerging generation (i.e. the generation that it first made its appearance in), by name, and the like. That way there would only be one central list. --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 13:28, 15 June 2007 (CDT)
I got a start on the move list (it's huge-72 kb!), but it needs a bit more work (and I have to leave soon, so I can't do it immediately). What I would like is this:
  • some way to make the icons sortable
  • some way to have the power/accuracy accurately sort (could be solved w/ leading 0s, but I again don't have time at the moment).
  • An Appeal column, a Jam column (for contests), and a Generation column (see comment on the page for which moves should be in which generation).
  • Centered icons
When I get back sometime tomorrow, I'll get to work on those if you (or somebody else) didn't beat me to it. --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 15:43, 15 June 2007 (CDT)
I'll start it, Appeal and jam will go at the end. BTW after that I'll finish off the types in the Pokédex--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 16:34, 15 June 2007 (CDT)

Awesome, you guys rock. (No pun intended Rocky ^_^; ) Procyon (Talk) 16:47, 15 June 2007 (CDT)

Sum1 needs to do gen 3 & 4, I'm off.--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 16:52, 15 June 2007 (CDT)
I think I put this somewhere, but you could have white text to make icons sortable, the final column is going to be hardest (I might make a BP account) because they don't have half the stuff. Does anyone have AR or something to get LV 100 PKMN in a R/S/E game or emulator or something to check the stats cuz I can't get moves like pay day because meowth needs to be traded from FR/LG. Now I'll stop copying and start getting the unobtainable info from the game.--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 07:58, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
What should we do about super contests?--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 10:52, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
Sorry about this but I've done everything else, should we have 2 more columns for them or does anyone have a better idea?--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png

(Talk - Contributions) 16:55, 16 June 2007 (CDT)

Adding the 2 columns won't work, it will overflow for people with 1024 resolution in firefox--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 16:57, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
Hi Rocky, please don't be offended that I moved this discussion here. I personally have absolutely no opinions about how to improve upon this, it's already tremendously better than what I was thinking. My concern from this point forward is only linking the guides (and the TOCs) to this page. But as for what else to do to the list itself, that's all you guys, you clearly have better ideas about it than I do. Procyon (Talk) 16:59, 16 June 2007 (CDT)

{{Pokemon Appjam}}[edit]

This should make appeals and jams a LOT easier. First of all, they will be put on only one cell (which saves space). Second of all, it will cut down the size of the file. Here is an example with an Appeal of 3 and a Jam of 1:

Appeal/Jam
♥♥♥

Here is the code:

{| class="wikitable"
!Appeal/Jam
|-
|{{Pokemon Appjam|3|1}}
|}

Enjoy! --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 19:52, 16 June 2007 (CDT)

Sadly I'm already done, super contests don't have jam but if we use thattemplate we might be able to fit them in.--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 01:21, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
The problem is also that you can't sort apppeal or jam. I'm going to attempt to modify it.--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions)
BTW it won't work for 8 appeal
Appeal/Jam

--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 01:26, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
I've put them in 2 cells to have them sortable, if you disagree then take away the "|" and add 2 <br>s. Plz don't the fact that appeal is 8 now.--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 02:13, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
It's fine, I just removed the A: and J: since it is two cells now. Also, indent your tables so it is easier to follow what part of the discussion they are in. Just put the colons in front of the table start. I'm going to get the rest of the notes 'till Gen 3 and do a complete table rearrangement now. --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 11:46, 17 June 2007 (CDT)

Bulbapedia[edit]

Can someone transfer all of the notes to bulbapedia, I've got them from the game.--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 02:39, 17 June 2007 (CDT)

Split Up[edit]

Would it be better if this was split into two pages? First of all, it would allow it to appear in its entirety on lower resolutions, and secondly, it would allow us to put in more info (there are two columns missing for each the Battle and the Contest). I'm thinking of Pokémon/Battle Moves and Pokémon/Contest Moves for the new pages. --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 12:04, 17 June 2007 (CDT)

Or two tables on the same page. -- Prod (Talk) 12:13, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
Yeah, that would work too. Actually, then three tables would be slightly better:
  1. One for the bp links, the generation, and the no.
  2. One for the battle info (Name-Type-Category-Power-Accuracy-2 on 2 Range-Notes)
  3. One for the contest info (Name-Type-Appeal-Jam-Super Contest-Area of Disturbance-Notes)
--Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 12:25, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
Don't forget super contests--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 12:29, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
I didn't... it's right after Jam. --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 12:44, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
Well, how do I get it???--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 14:23, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
Appeal Jam Super Appeal
♥♥♥ ♥♥

You have to use another separate appjam with onecol set (like above). --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 14:36, 17 June 2007 (CDT)

Problem with page view[edit]

I'm having trouble viewing the page itself after my last edit (it leads me to a blank screen). I have a feeling it has something to do with the 1401 instances of the {{pkmni}} template (I think there was a similar problem with {{cade}}, but then it only disregarded the extra templates, not the entire page). Do you have any problems viewing the page (if not, what browser are you using)? Just in case you can't load the page, here are a few links: edit the page and undo my last edit. --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 17:52, 17 June 2007 (CDT)

I simplified the {{Pokemon Appjam}} template and it seems to have fixed it. -- Prod (Talk) 20:17, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
Thanks a lot! I didn't think that appjam was causing it and not pkmn. Of course, pkmn needs to be revised to put the symbol in the exact center while still allowing it to be sortable... maybe putting a single transparent letter in front of the image instead of the first three letters in a new line. I'll see how that works out. --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 21:12, 17 June 2007 (CDT) If you can read this sentence, your browser does not support the CSS3 element "opacity." If it did, even highlighting this wouldn't make it visible!
