Controls[edit]

  • Z, X, O, and K: In the ZX, CPC and C64 versions, you must use these four keys to make your current Jetson move left, right, up and down; you must also press use Space to make him (or her, in the case of Jane and Judy) press buttons and activate objects (when they are in the jet-car between stages this key activates "turbo" mode). However, in the Amiga version, you'll have to use a joystick (and its button) instead - and in all four versions, you can press P to pause the game, and R to resume it (in the Amiga version, you can also press F10 to toggle between 50 and 60 Hertz, depending on whether you are playing it on a PAL or NTSC television, even though the latter were not commonplace in the United Kingdom).

The Jetsons[edit]

The protagonists for this game; although George Jetson's voice actor, George O'Hanlon, died in 1989, the same year the first Jetsons title was released, he returns for the first stage of this game, where the player must get him out of "Spacely's Space Sprockets" without his boss, Mr. Spacely (whose voice actor, Mel Blanc, also died in 1989), knowing, then fly his jet-car back home while watching his speed (because he will get pulled over by the traffic cops and fined if he does not) and black holes (which can send him back, or forward, when entered). For the second stage, control switches to George's wife, Jane Jetson - where a cat-burglar has broken into the Jetsons' home and reprogrammed various objects to thwart her as the player tries to help her find George. However, once she has done so (and collected three objects, including Electronimo, the robot dog, beforehand), they will both have to fly to the "Fun Pad"; for the third stage, control is switched to their first-born daughter, Judy Jetson, whose favourite pop star, Jet Screamer, is playing at the "Fun Pad" (and she must collect six hearts to win a kiss from him), then join her parents, as they fly to the "Little Dipper School". For the fourth and last stage, control switches to George and Jane's second-born son, Elroy Jetson (whose voice actor, Charles Dawson "Dawes" Butler, may have died, in 1988, but he again returns here), who has been detained because one of his science-fair projects has gone wrong, and he must make his way from the Principal's study to the school exit, while collecting keys to unlock doors and avoiding robot teachers (who will send him straight back to the Principal's study if they catch him, wasting valuable time) - and once he has done so, he shall have to join his parents and sister for the final journey to the beach at Las Venus.
