The Legendary Axe is a linear game composed of six zones. Starting with Zone 1, you must defeat the boss of each zone in order to advance to the next zone. Most zones are entirely linear, although the end of Zone 5 resembles a slight maze where you must choose between upper and lower paths in order to find the path which leads to the boss.
