Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Compymasax! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. Please remember to sign your name on, and only on, talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- Prod (Talk) 07:33, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Tables are very annoying (along with images). Apart from trying out the markup, I'd recommend adding all the subpages to your watchlist and check what changes other people make. A few of us go around cleaning pages and tend to use some of the tricks that make things easier. Happy editing :) -- Prod (Talk) 08:10, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Image uploading[edit]

Hey, be sure to to follow the policies and guidelines on image naming and categorization when uploading images. I've gone through the pics you've put on the Combat Arms guide, so take a look at the differences on a few of them ([1], [2]) for examples of meaningful image descriptions and categories. Great job on the guide, by the way! - najzere 21:13, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Another reminder to properly categorize your images. There should be category tags for the type of image (i.e. Screenshots, Models, etc.) as well as the game's image category (i.e. Combat Arms images). Also, just for standardization, please put the category tags after the image description. Thanks, - najzere 23:28, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Redirects[edit]

I've cleaned up the problems. -- Prod (Talk) 07:39, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Add the {{delete}} template to the top of the page with a valid reason, and a sysop will look into it. -- Prod (Talk) 07:46, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Show preview[edit]

Please use the "Show preview" button (next to the "Save page") button for viewing your edits before saving. Making multiple small edits to a page clutters up the recent changes page and the page's history. Thanks, - najzere 19:05, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Another reminder to use "Show preview" instead of multiple edits. You made 14 edits in a row to Combat Arms/Primary, and a lot of them were just to add line spaces. Use "Show preview" until you get the page looking the way you want. - najzere 23:28, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Userpages[edit]

Don't create or edit other users' userpages. If someone feels like creating a userpage they will do so. - najzere 07:00, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Nice Job[edit]

Hey, just wanted to say that's some great work you did on the CA primary weapons page. I didn't go through the whole thing for copyedit purposes, but it looks really good with the format, the tables and the images. I think the Combat Arms guide is shaping up to be really good since you've taken on the job. Thanks! - najzere 18:13, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Image upload[edit]

Check out Special:MultipleUpload. -- Prod (Talk) 01:48, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Resident Evil 4[edit]

I noticed your question about putting the content here. Did your friend write any of the guide? If yes, you need his permission as well, and his name should be in the edit history. -- Prod (Talk) 07:36, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Combat Arms Guide[edit]

Sure, it's fine with me if you do all the images.

I can continue to add to the guide right?

DumbViet 22:49, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Instead of using tons of line breaks, they can all be replaced by {{-}}. I added a bunch to the Primary weapons page so check it out. -- Prod (Talk) 07:16, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
All images from games are copyrighted, irrespective of who took the picture. The company made the characters/sprites so it belongs to them. Any time we host an image we're using it under "fair use". Essentially, if we overuse content from their games, they may get angry and sue us. It's more a proactive measure than anything. Too many images also clutters up a page. -- Prod (Talk) 23:21, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Black Market page[edit]

Hey, we just can't delete the page from the ToC while it still exists as a guide page. If that information should be added to the individual weapons pages, that's fine. After all the info from the Black Market page is put where it belongs, we can delete the page and remove the link from the ToC. Let me know when you're done moving the info, and I'll delete the page and start watching out in case anyone tries to make it again. - najzereT 02:21, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

It seems that all the items can be browsed from the website so I think having a link on the relevant pages would be all that is required. If they're updating this game like MapleStory, there's going to be a lot of items, and no point listing them all. -- Prod (Talk) 04:26, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Shotguns[edit]

Hey, Shotguns has been moved from Combat Arms/Secondary to Combat Arms/Shotguns. I wanted to check with you on this and see if it's a legitimate move. Thanks, - najzereT 01:16, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

M16A3 LAW replacement at captain 1?[edit]

Hi compy, I recently found this statement on the M16A3 page on combat arms:

Changing this to another default gun is a big mistake, because when you reach platinum "I" this gun can be equipped to the LAW and made into a NX gun. If you don't want to change it, Nexon usually buys it from you for 5,000 NX.

I highly doubt this statement, but could you look into this? I am currently out of town, and I don't have access to Combat Arms until mid-july.

I have deleted this from the page, but if it turns out to be true, then we could add it back, with major re-wording...

DumbViet is back![edit]

Glad to say I'm back.

Looks like the Combat Arms page need some updating. I'll get on that, but I can't do much with my lowly rank.

Anything major happen to Combat Arms or the Wiki since last June? (Other than the Black Market guns exclusion).
