Image categorisation[edit]

When uploading images, please make sure to categorise them using the correct image categories and the guide-specific category, i.e. [[Category:History Line: 1914-1918 images]]. Please see our image policy for more details. Thanks for helping to keep our images neat! — Moydow T · C 20:38, 1 January 2011 (CST)

History Line[edit]

Hi Furiat, thanks a lot for working on the HL1914-18 guide.
Unfortunatly I have very very little time I can dedicate to strategywiki and I currently try to use this time to work on SNK/KOF games. So I'm afraid I wont have the time to provide strategies for HL, but if you don't feel like writing them then just leave them open and maybe I or somebody else might fill them out at a later time. By the way: those are some vey nice maps you are poviding, keep up the good work^^.
Greetings, --Bmuig 07:50, 11 January 2011 (CST) (talk)

A few minor suggestions for the guide, up to you if you implement them or not:
  • If all the level names are unique, it would probably be good to drop the "/French/" section from the page names. The additional level of subpaging just complicates things generally. If you want to go ahead with this let me know and I can help you with it.
  • At the top of each page you have a heading 'Map "Batle"'. Seems kinda redundant to me since you have the name about 10 lines above.
  • The two image rule is more of a guideline. If it doesn't need two images, no point adding more. I assume the two-player maps are PvP so perhaps strategies/key points for each side would be good?
Really nice guide overall so far. Keep it up :). -- Prod (Talk) 02:10, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
The nesting has been removed for all pages. For people coming to a guide and not knowing which side they're on, you could add an infobox like on the StarCraft maps. As I haven't played the game before (or even heard of it outside of this guide...) I'm not sure I'd be able to follow it. But I can take a look in the next few days. -- Prod (Talk) 13:50, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

How to create HL maps?[edit]

I noticed you submitted several really nice images for HL maps. How did you create them? I noticed that some maps are still missing so I thought I could submit them... --Jorres 20:05, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

Response to Jorres[edit]

Hi. I hope you didn't take my notice to Jorres personally. Many users elect not to receive email and even if you had gotten it, it's just been my experience that if a user's been gone for a long time, the chances of them replying are slim, so I simply wanted to inform Jorres of that fact so he wouldn't suspend his edits while waiting for a response from you. That's all. Glad to see you're still around. Procyon 01:32, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
