Preload buttons[edit]

I deleted the Winter Assault Getting Started page since it was basically a duplicate of the main Warhammer 40,000 one. I also changed the {{Continue Nav}} to point to the New features page like on the other expansions. Cheers, — najzereT 02:27, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Warhammer/Winter Assault[edit]

Hi again. I moved the ToC you created over to the main ToC. All expansion packs share their tables of contents with the main guide, so any additions or changes need to be made there instead of on individual expansion ToCs. Also, we don't normally put links with anchor tags on ToCs. If there is enough information on the subject, just create a separate page for it. In the case of New Features, there wasn't enough information for them to have their own pages, but the opposite was true of the walkthrough. Each mission should get its own page in the guide. I also linked the individual races, as that seems to be where you were heading, but if there's not enough info on them, you can just make the single Races page instead and we'll remove those links from the ToC. Image categorisation[edit]

When uploading images, please make sure to categorise them using the correct image categories and the guide-specific category, i.e. [[Category:Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War images]]. Hi, great job as usual on the Warhammer guide! I changed the files from the Characters category to Icons to fit your description of them and their small size, so I hope that's okay. I need to do a little wikification on the new page, so you might want to check the diff in the page's history afterward to see what minor layout and formatting tweaks were made based on the guide. Unused images[edit]

Hi, I see you've uploaded a couple versions of the "space marine squad screenshot". Since only the third one is live on a guide page, am I right in assuming that Image:W40k-dow space marine squad screenshot.jpg and Image:W40k-dow space marine squad screenshot2.jpg can be deleted? Just so you know, on the image page there's a link to "Upload a new version of this file", so in the future you can keep the original file name and categories and just update the image itself. Uploading a new version also tracks the changes to the file so that reverting to an earlier version can be easily done. If you're uploading a new version, the only thing you need to put in the summary is the change you're making (and the image source if you're taking it from somewhere else). Neutral point of view[edit]

Guides are open for anyone to edit, and to accommodate multiple authors we've decided to use a neutral point of view, meaning content should be written in the third person, with no opinions and a somewhat professional tone. Please keep this in mind as you're editing, and try to avoid words like "I" or "we", or use of slang or non-factual information.
