Neutral point of view[edit]

Guides are open for anyone to edit, and to accomodate multiple authors we've decided to use a neutral point of view, meaning content should be written in the third person, with no opinions and a somewhat professional tone. Please keep this in mind as you're editing, and try to avoid words like "I" or "we", or use of slang or non-factual information. Thanks for helping us keep our guide pages polished! — najzereT 16:20, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

Some tips[edit]

Hey, thanks for working on the guides so diligently! I wanted to let you know about some helpful tools we have. Since we don't put editing notes on the guide pages themselves, you can use the {{wip}} template to show you're in the middle of working on a guide, or the {{stub}} template to show that it's just not done yet. I saw you made some pages for Colossal Cave Adventure, and it appears to be text-based, so I should also introduce you to the {{parser}} template, which formats text game commands to easily separate the object and action. You can see what it looks like here. Hope that helps! — najzereT 16:20, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
