Image categorization[edit]

When uploading images, please make sure to categorise them using the correct image categories and the guide-specific category, i.e. [[Category:Game Name images]]. Please see our image policy for more details. Thanks for helping to keep our images neat! Paco (talk) 12:06, 11 January 2013 (UTC)

Image sizes[edit]

There's very little reason to upload a giant screenshot like that when it's going to be contained in a small thumbnail box on the page. Please try to stick to the original screen resolution of the game (in this case 256x240) and use a lossless format like png or gif. Reserve the use of the jpg format only for photographs. Thanks. My apologies, I didn't realize it was going to be that big. I think it happened because it was a screenshot from a YouTube video. And about the format, it's actually a png. Anyways, you think you could help me re-size it? I need this other image because it's got the true values in lives, score, etc. I'd appreciate a little help. Thanks! - Sirius 128 (talk) 01:47, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
It's cool, the 512 size should be fine. It's just that compared to the text part of the site, the graphics portion takes up much more space, and that's cool, we want as many pictures as we can get. We just have to be as economic about that space as possible. Thanks for taking it into consideration. Procyon 02:07, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
I just have a problem now. It seems the new version of the image won't show up in the article. It still looks like the very first version. Do you know how to fix it? Thanks a lot. - Sirius 128 (talk) 02:16, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
If you're talking about the actual image itself, clear your cache. Reload the image page by pressing Ctrl+F5. If it's the thumbnail on the page, you may be able to do the same trick, or you may have to wait for the server to refresh its own cache, which you won't have control over. Let me know if you're still having trouble. Procyon 02:24, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
It worked! I just had to change the display size in the article. Must have been the cache. Thanks a lot for your help and your patience! - Sirius 128 (talk) 02:32, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
When you loaded the page, after submitting or previewing, it forced your browser to refresh and load the newer version of the file. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 05:58, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
