Controls[edit]
/ 
: Use the 8-way joystick or direction pad to direct your chosen player around their half of the court. You are limited to your half of the court and cannot cross over to the opponent's. Hold the joystick or direction pad in a particular direction when hitting the ball with your racket to influence (not control) the direction that the ball will travel.
/ 
: Press the left button to initiate a serve, to swing your racket and sever the ball with normal force, and to return the ball with normal force.
/ 
: Press the right button to initiate a serve, to swing your racket and sever the ball with greater force, and to return the ball with greater force. Hitting the ball with greater force makes the ball go faster, but gives you less control over where it will land.
/ 
: Push the 1 or 2 player button, or the Run button, to begin a new game. Press the Run button during play to pause the action mid-game.
Players[edit]
The following table is a list of all the characters available for selection. Both the arcade version and the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 appear to have the same characters, with the exception of two robot characters (listed at the bottom of the table). The arcade comments are translated from the player select screen. The remaining information is taken directly from the TurboGrafx-16 instruction manual, and as such, may not necessarily be applicable to the arcade version.
