Walkthrough[edit]
Hadouken and Shouryuken[edit]
Use the second red flying platform to get to a ladder that is otherwise impossible to reach. You have to navigate the platform through a little maze, and it will requires some maneuvering.
Once in the secret area there are three tricky passages. First, jump over the spikes and slide down the reversed staircase. Second, the "lion mouth" is not dangerous at all: just walk straight across those one-tile spikes.
The real difficulty comes next: a C-jump between series of spikes. Select the Speed Burner, charge it up, dash jump off the safe platform, then release the Speed Burner to dash back to the left under the platform.
Slide down the vertical passage until you find a hidden passage: it leads to the fifth capsule. There, you'll receive the Hadouken and the Shouryuken from Dr. Light, along with the instructions to perform these special moves.
Stage, part 2[edit]
Now, save the Speed Burner for the boss fight. Switch to the normal X-Buster and experiment your two new attacks.
Maverick: Serges[edit]
Use the Hadouken to quickly destroy the four cannons. After that, Serges himself is weak against the Speed Burner.
