Template:System browser

- The changes I made mean that it should spawn a scrollbar when it starts overflowing. It does for me. What browser are you using? Have you hard-refreshed (hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift and refresh) the page? --DrBob (Talk) 16:42, 8 August 2007 (CDT)
- I'm on IE 7, 800x600 res while at work. As the picture shows (even after clearing the cache) the table sticks out. - Well I got it to work on User:Notmyhandle/Sandbox2 which uses the template from User:Notmyhandle/Sandbox. Notice I got rid of the surrounding box, and changed some stuff. The strange part is that in 800x600, it gives a scroll box for IE, but resizes it perfectly for Firefox. In 1024x768, IE looks perfect and Firefox has a scrollbar... Man, I had no idea how prone to that one particular mistake I was. I mean, I would catch myself sometimes thinking, "Hmm... that apostrophe doesn't belong there," but it was really scary looking at your clean up and seeing just how frequently I'd make that same mistake over and over. I dunno, I always considered myself a math student, and never much of a writer. Naturally by writing so much content for this site, I'm beginning to realize just how bad certain writing skills of mine have become :P Anyway, thanks so much for taking care of that mistake, and I'll remain mindful of "its vs. it's" in the future. Civ 1-4
The getting started page is supposed to be different I think. They may have some commonalities, but the text needs to be split up to the relevant guides --Prod (talk · contribs), sometime yesterday
- I've had it with the Civ guides. I never want to see them again! I think they were all imported from the same page (Civ:The_Basics) though, so they should be the same. From what I've read of the text, it would be tricky to split them out, and since all the games are quite similar tactics-wise, I'd be fine with leaving it as one transcluded page. - The same is true of the terminology pages. I was thinking of putting the general stuff in a trancludable section in Civilization/Terminology, transcluding it into other terminology pages and adding the game-specific stuff, but there didn't seem to be enough game-specific stuff to make it worthwhile. I'll take another look at it, though.
- I've also noticed you've reverted my edits to the Alien Crossfire factions page. Why? I had it nicely set up so that it transcluded the Alpha Centauri factions page, and added in its own stuff. - Yes, there's always been, (at the top of the right-hand side of an unpatrolled diff against the previous revision), and no, not as far as I know. You just have to look for diffs in recent changes with an exclamation mark to the left of them. --DrBob (Talk) 03:59, 14 August 2007 (CDT)

Audition
Yeah, same game except the info on the page is currently for the English version, the Wikipedia article denotes a lot of info for the Korean and Japanese versions of the game. Also, the screenshot of the game they have on there must be a different version because the one I've tried out has a slightly different UI. One last thing, I think the English version has one of those taglines, but it's not part of the official game name... Another guide
lol... I know, it's kind of sad... The truth is, I'm typically so bored at work, working on StrategyWiki is my favorite way to pass the time while I wait for more bugs to roll in. I hate to admit this, but contributing to SW has become such a pastime, that I'm not sure what else to work on when I'm not contributing to it. I realize that might be a bit of a problem. :/ I dunno... I can't really sit at my desk and play games because it looks obvious. But when I work on SW, it still looks like work because of all the typing I do. The funny thing is, before SW, I used to have all of this information just bouncing around in my head with no outlet. Now, I have a solid place to write it all down and store it. I may take a break after Mr. Do!, but... you know... there's always Pengo... and Sinistar... and Crystal Castles... and Congo Bongo... the list goes on ^_^; Procyon (Talk) 15:27, 15 August 2007 (CDT)
- Wikis are awesome because it doesn't have to be about working as a team. I started Wikiing for myself and so I could have a permanant place for my notes. I just hope someday SW lets in a lot more flash games... I have like 10 page text file with passwords and info for a bunch of them. When I'm not contributing, making images or deciding to do some maintenance I find myself either being really bored or falling back into gaming. Which is perfect for making more contributions! Series categories
I'm pretty sure there was some kind of agreement about series cats (can't remember who I talked with before). We would add the series cat, and all parent cats, that way the game would be visible from everywhere.
