An indispensable part of any construction project, cranes come in two types - mobile cranes, and tower cranes. Unlike the Flatbed cranes you start with, these are capable of lifting heavier loads.
Tower cranes are equivalent to the cranes found on Tractors, but are much taller and less obstructive on the ground than a tractor crane. Mobile cranes, while taking up considerably more space on the ground than any other crane type, is capable of lifting the heaviest payloads in the game.
Mobile and tower cranes are also capable of pouring concrete from a concrete bucket. Concrete buckets must first be purchased from the building material supplier, then filled by a concrete mixer. Once filled, the crane can lift the bucket over the target area and then open the bucket to pour the concrete. Buckets typically have fairly low capacity, but this setup can save money on more expensive concrete pump vehicles.
Official Description: Cranes are used on construction sites to lift light (class A) and medium (class B) loads to elevated positions or to perform concrete work with a concrete bucket. Fast erecting cranes and tower cranes are identical in purely functional terms. Both can rotate on their own axis and move loads on a crane hook that is moved via the trolley. On construction sites, they are erected exclusively in a designated crane area.
Mobile Cranes[edit]
Tower Cranes[edit]
In addition to their purchase or rental cost, tower cranes have a transport cost paid when the crane is set up in the crane area.
Tower cranes, despite their immobility, cannot lift large payloads and only have a lifting ability of class B and A.
