If you haven't already, get the missiles from the nearby Data Room, then stand outside the Navigation Room and face right. Jump across to the second platform and shoot the metal door on the wall, then enter the secret tunnel. Proceed until you drop down the tall green room. The expansion is on your right. Alternately, if you missed the upgrade your first time, once you have the screw attack, start from the save station in the very center of your map and go left through several rooms and eventually into a secret hallway. Roll through the gaps to get to the pile of rubble you passed after defeating the first boss. Stand on top of it and screw attack the left side of the top of the ceiling. It'll crumble, so jump through and follow the corridor to the end.
