Hey Najzere, can you add me to the Pokedex for your Starter Pokemon template? I did the quiz and got Chimchar with Naive nature, by the way.

I think I've fixed all the common cases.  Here's the list of the ones that still make use of the ol notation.
* Battlezone II: Combat Commander/Table of Contents
* of Contents
* Fire Emblem/Table of Contents
* Grand Theft Auto (Game Boy Advance)/Table of Contents
* Iggy's Reckin' Balls/Table of Contents
* Perfect Dark/Table of Contents
* Resistance: Fall of Man/Table of Contents
* The Last Story/Table of Contents
* The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Table of Contents
This old notation is kinda nasty, so it'd be good if we can rearrange these to make it unnecessary. -- Prod (Talk) 06:20, 13 May 2012 (UTC)

:::Naj, I just wanted to provide a quick response on a few things.  First and foremost, I want to thank you for your honesty and candor.  While I can't promise that every suggestion will be acted upon, I want you to know that I appreciate them.  I'm not the kind of person who would come down on someone else because they said things I didn't want to hear, as long as they were honest.  Second, and perhaps more importantly to me, we never stopped giving a shit.  I can't stress that enough.  I would sincerely love to be able to focus for 40 hours a week (if not more) solely on the development of SW, but that's just not a reality for me.  Both Prod and I have day jobs that pay the bills that SW can't.  And as it happens, very ironically, we're both in the process of planning weddings, but that's only recently.  With the free time that remains in between, it becomes difficult to know what to do to encourage community development when it's not your core expertise.  I'm a software engineer, I don't have any professional training to help me in my role at SW, and sometimes I wish a little too hard that the community would just grow itself if we set a good example.  All that being said, you have to admit that we have been trying to let specific users in the community know how much we appreciate them.  You yourself were a beneficiary of our user appreciation program when we hooked you up with a game last year.  But you're right, your approach of expressing gratitude would work as well, and it's something I'm going to take to heart and try to implement.  It's good to get a loud wake up call every now and then. ::::I'd like to break the trend here and actually keep things brief.  We moved discussions back to the staff lounge?! YES!  People are still here? YES! We have developers? Sweet!  People are dealing with stuff and are overlooking the site? Acceptable.  I don't expect Naj or anyone else to pretend to be a bot forever.  We all appreciate each others' efforts.  That said, the people who want to see change will show up and make the effort to catch the ears of those with power.
::::I don't see a problem with the community other than it is too small to make big changes quickly.  If we had 10-30 new, awesome editors/programmers/admins we would be set.
::::On a side note, given that there are a bazillion edits here per day and I no longer have the hours and hours of time to fill that I used to, has anyone come across any new browsing tools for admins?  Or if you're still using your old ones, which are you using and could you write up a brief tutorial?  Maybe I'll start patrolling more again, but I remember how tedious this all is... -- 02:56, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
:::::I used User:Najzere/ajaxpatrol.js for help in patrolling faster, but I'm not sure it works in the non-BlueCloud skins yet, so I may have to tinker with it a bit. ::::Hey, congrats to the both of you. :D I'm glad you think there's something of value in my post, because I wouldn't have bothered writing it if I didn't truly care about the site. I work full time and have a wife myself, so I understand the time constraints. I'm not saying you all need to spend hours every day like I did, I think the small words of encouragement here and there and a few minutes of participating in SW processes isn't too much to ask from our bureaucrats. At least until there are enough other people to see those discussions through to consensus.
::::At the end of the day we're all volunteers, and I think it's because we like to create things and be a part of something. I think  making everyone feel included and like their effort is appreciated really means a lot the contributors here. That being said, I do appreciate you guys and what you do. Procyon you add tons of great guides non-stop all the time and Prod I know you're doing all the back-end stuff seemingly single-handed, so thank you to both of you. I really want this site to be successful and while I'm disappointed in the trend I see, I don't think it's too late as long as we're still talking. — <span style="color:#909090;font-variant:small-caps;">Najzere</span>&nbsp;·&nbsp;<span style="color:#993300;font-variant:small-caps;font-weight:normal;">Talk</span> 05:30, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

Lol, this is why I feel so comfortable asking questions here. We all know it's ok to jump into a conversation if we have additional info. Thanks so much for those links. I'm not even certain why I was having such difficulty finding some. I'll do some research to see if we really need an engine template and make one if we do. == Edit Counter ==
I love your edit counter script. An admin of the Minecraft Wiki got me into it when I was exploring user script pages and what started with just a few tweaks snowballed into a full code revamp when I noticed the edit count returned undefined when my Main namespace count reached the normal user API limit (500). Over 40 code versions later, I ended up with something really nice (most of those versions were aiming at something flat-out working lol).
If you want to check it out and build off of it for yours or just copy it over, be my guest. A few mentionable changes is that I made the contribs count act the same way the log count does, as well as expanding the log count to all logs, not just move and protect. This way, I was able to get my Main count past the 500 limit. I also believe this code might help the wikipedia bug you mentioned in your documentation about high namespace numbers not working, since the edit count now tracks everything in the namespace array like the log events. I also blew the table format out of the water and I intend on continuing with tinkering in order to keep a default wikitable option available.
Anyways, thank you for the edit counter script in the first place and I hope you like the revamp. <code><span class="nowrap">--<span title="User Page">Kanegasi</span> <span title="Talk">☺</span><span title="Contribs">C</span></span></code> 04:24, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
:Seeing the new post below reminded me of my post here. I now have the script hosted on Wikipedia with more tweaks than I last posted, including confirmation that my version counts higher namespaces, as seen on my Wowpedia count, and that the script is almost guaranteed to work on any wiki. My current goal is to add a horizontal/vertical option to be able to match what you have, since the version I initially worked off of was ultradude25's. It does seem, though, that you are quite inactive, so whether or not you see this, thank you for the last two-three months. I knew practically nothing about JavaScript before I started messing with this script. It has taught me much, including how a wiki's cache works. <code class="nowrap">—<span title="User Page">Kanegasi</span> <span title="Talk">☺</span><span title="Contribs">C</span></code> 11:23, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

How to set it up
I don't quite understand how to set it all up. I got interested in it from a Minecraft Wiki admin (come to think about it, its the same link that Kanegasi gave in the previous post.) :I've added the script for you and put a transclusion of your edit count page on your main page. Now you should see a link in the toolbox on the right that says "Edit counter" when you're on your user page. When you click it, it should create your edit count page, and if you refresh your user page it will show up there. Let me know if you have any more problems. Hi.
Sorry to bother you. I can blame myself for being lazy but can you do a small favor. The main page hasn't improved yet. Also, it comes under japanese and european/australian titled and I'm wondering whether you want to leave the title Fortune Street the way it is, because people who come to the Wii game list might have false assumptions about the title and can get totally lost easily. That's all.
