Version differences

When Meikyuu Shima was localized outside Japan, most islands were simplified by reducing the number of enemies. Also, the order of the islands was changed and several islands were even moved to later lands. Moreover, some islands were completely removed and new, easier islands were introduced. On the other hand, the Western special game consists of ten islands more than the original Japanese counterpart. The table below summarizes the changes in the islands.

The walkthrough follows the North American and European order and references the corresponding Japanese islands. The Japanese-only islands are included and described, too.
