Note: Since the Debug Armor has the same resistance level of the Legendary Armor, it's supposed that it can do something else. And really can. It allows to access any of the three levels of Pepelogoo any time you want. This feature was ripped from the ROMs files, but thanks to [http://www.romhacking.net/community/965/ Shion], this feature can be avaiable again. He created a [http://www.romhacking.net/trans/1276/ patch file] with this feature and other modifications. But be warned that this works only if you have the Pepelogoo avaiable and, more important, since each stage was created for help of Pepelogoo in certain level (Handera Volcano = 1st level/Stream Sanctuary = 2nd level/Pyramid of Ice = 3rd level), using Pepelogoo on a stage with a non-correspondingg level may freeze the game. So, use it with caution.

Revision as of 21:25, 11 October 2008

There are several combat equipments in the game. These equipments are divided in three groups: Swords, Shields and Armors.

Note: When you buy a new item, the old one is given to the one who sold you this new item. You can buy any old item again by 100G since that it's avaiable.

Swords

The swords are your attack equipment. After each stage, you will found new ones in shops, with improved attack power or simply strength. Some swords may have the same attack power but can also show the special feature that differs one sword from another: It's the Magical Hit. The Magical Hit is simply an attack stronger than the normal ones (it's usually the double of the normal attack power, but there's a sword that is an exception). To execute this attack, just attack 4 times, hitting or not an enemy. The 5th attack will be the Magical Hit. Here's a list of the swords.

Ishtar Sword

Legendary Sword

  • Strength: +8
  • Magical Hit: ---
  • Price: 19800G
  • Where to buy: With the Armor Salesman, at the final of the village part.
  • Avaiable: To get this sword, just get all the 150 Life Drops (complete the Blue Hearts' Life Meter).

Shields

Shields are your defense equipment. As the swords, you may find better shield as you play the game. Each shield has a defense level that, depending of how many hits you take and what kind of protection it offers, will activate a Special Barrier, that envolves Asha completely and protects her for a second, avoiding any damage. In the list below, I will inform about these number of hits after the defense level of each shield.

Wooden Shield

  • Defense: +0 (Doesn't activate the Special Barrier)
  • Protection: Nothing
  • Price: ---
  • Where to buy: ---
  • Avaiable: You already begin the game with this shield.

Heat Shield

  • Defense: +2 (Does activate the Special Barrier after taking 2 hits)
  • Protection: Fire (The Special Barriel will only activate if you take a hit by a fire-type attack/monster.)

  • Where to buy: The first shop at the village part. Talk with the saleswoman.
  • Avaiable: After you arrive Rapadagna City at the first time.

Golem Shield

  • Defense: +2
  • Protection: Thunder (The Special Barrier will only activate if you take a hit by a electric-type attack/monster.)
  • Price: 450G
  • Where to buy: The first shop at the village part. Talk with the saleswoman.
  • Avaiable: After you arrive Rapadagna City at the first time.

Aqua Breaker

  • Defense: +2
  • Protection: Water (The Special Barrier will only activate if you take a hit by a water-type attack/monster. Ice-types counts too.)
  • Price: 450G
  • Where to buy: The first shop. And with the saleswoman again.
  • Avaiable: After completing the Handera Volcano stage.

  • Protection: Fire, Thunder and Water (Non-elemental attacks/monsters won't activate the Special Barrier)
  • Price: 2700G
  • Where to buy: The first shop. The saleswoman. (Geez...)
  • Avaiable: After completing the Pyramid of Ice stage.

Magical Shield

  • Defense: +2
  • Protection: Fire, Thunder and Water
  • Price: 4000G
  • Where to buy: The first shop. The saleswoman. (The last, finally...)
  • Avaiable: After completing the Pyramid of Ice stage.

Legendary Shield

  • Defense: +3 (Does activate the Special Barrier after taking only one hit)
  • Protection: Everything. (Need to explain more?)
  • Price: 12800G
  • Where to buy: This one is with the Armor Salesman, at the final of the village part.
  • Avaiable: Collect 150 Life Drops (Complete the Life Meter of Blue Hearts).

Armors

These are the resistance eqipments. The level of the armor corresponds on how many Pink Hearts you'll have in your superior Life Meter (since the inferior one is built as you collect Life Drops). On the list below, I won't inform where you can buy the armors because all of then (except the Adventurer's, which you begin the game with, and the Debug one) are sold by the Armor Salesman, that is on the limit of the village part of Rapadagna City with a big, ill-humoured dromedary.

Note: Talking about the Armor Salesman, he will disappear after you complete the Aegis Island stage. But, if you collect all of the 150 Life Drops, he will appear again to sell you the legendary weapons.

Adventurer's Armor

  • Resistance: +3
  • Price: ---
  • Avaiable: You already begin the game with this armor.

Battle Armor

  • Avaiable: After completing the Handera Volcano stage.

Force Armor

  • Resistance: +10
  • Price: 9800G
  • Avaiable: After completing the Stream Sanctuary stage.

Legendary Armor

  • Resistance: +15
  • Price: 24500G
  • Avaiable: After Completing the Pyramid of Ice stage.

Debug Armor

  • Resistance: +15
  • Price: ---
  • Avaiable: Only with cheat. (See the Secrets page.)

Note: Since the Debug Armor has the same resistance level of the Legendary Armor, it's supposed that it can do something else. And really can. It allows to access any of the three levels of Pepelogoo any time you want. This feature was ripped from the ROMs files, but thanks to Shion, this feature can be avaiable again. He created a patch file with this feature and other modifications. But be warned that this works only if you have the Pepelogoo avaiable and, more important, since each stage was created for help of Pepelogoo in certain level (Handera Volcano = 1st level / Stream Sanctuary = 2nd level / Pyramid of Ice = 3rd level), using Pepelogoo on a stage with a non-correspondingg level may freeze the game. So, use it with caution.
