Discontinue edits to Link to the Past

Until you have been a member of SW for a longer period of time, please discuss any potential edits that you would like to make to the Link to the Past walkthrough with me. Thank you. Procyon (Talk) 09:59, 27 August 2007 (CDT)

Did I do something wrong? I thought the first page of the walkthrough should be the introduction, otherwise it is somewhat useless. Also, the page StrategyWiki:Guide/Organization advises to number the pages of a linear walkthrough. ALTTP is a linear-progression game, so why not numbering the pages of the walkthrough? --Cutter 10:18, 27 August 2007 (CDT)
First of all LttP is a featured guide, which means that it conforms to every standard. Secondly, the ToC is already in a linear format, just two-columns instead of one, so don't worry about it. --Safety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 10:30, 27 August 2007 (CDT)

Actually, I would contend that ALttP is not a linear progression game since you can clear dungeons in a different order from the recommended order. That particular walkthrough is designed to allow readers to jump around to whatever section they are interested in, rather than precisely following every page in a specific order. Anyway, the point is, out of all of the guides on the site, that one is particularly important, so we're a little protective of it. If you had some edits that you wanted to make specifically to the content, like corrections of omission, that's fine, but as far as formatting goes, just run your ideas by one of us first. We'd appreciate it.
P.S. would I be correct if I guessed you were an Elfquest fan? Procyon (Talk) 11:16, 27 August 2007 (CDT)

Strategy Page

Go ahead, although there might be a better name for it than "Strategy", but that can be decided after I see what kinds of content you are planning on putting in it. Anyway, as for the Header Nav, it is best if you create a Table of Contents sub-page and put the links there, as then you don't have to mess around with the custom on every page you make. Oh, and make sure Strategy is a sub-page too! --Safety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 11:38, 27 August 2007 (CDT)
