Proceed and go behind the desk for a diary and more items. Near you there will be a security bot stuck in a door. Move towards the bot and select the Hack option when available. You'll be introduced to hacking. Make sure you read the slides in order to understand the objective and go on to hack the bot. When you're done, the door the bot was stuck in will be open and you will now have the security bot following you and helping you. As you go on, you'll run into two splicers that your security bot will help you defeat. Look for a diary, go up the stairs, and use the control there. Go through the door behind you and kill the splicer. Activate the switch and get ready for splicers to attack. Defeat all the splicers, collect all of their items and exit through the door.
