JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle/Battle Tendency

The year is 1938, 50 years after the era of Jonathan Joestar.
After striking oil, Speedwagon has accrued untold riches.
After an invitation from Speedwagon, Joseph Joestar decides to move from England to New York, in the United States.
Joseph is the grandson of Jonathan Joestar.
He engages in a fierce battle with Santviento, one of the "Pillar Men", in a lab run by a German officer by the name of Stroheim.
Thanks to that, the world is saved from the threat of Santviento... or so it was thought.
However, Speedwagon's company learns a shocking truth: There are three other Pillar Men in existence.

Episode 1: The Pigeon and the Girl (Joseph Joestar vs. Caesar Zeppeli)

If the three Pillar Men were to awaken, the world would surely be destroyed...
Joseph and Speedwagon hurry to Rome, Italy, where someone is waiting for them:
Caesar Zeppeli, grandson of Will A. Zeppeli.
Tensions soon arise between Joseph and Caesar. Incensed by his mocking attitude, Joseph declares that he'll teach Caesar a lesson.

Episode 2: The Blood Clock (Joseph Joestar vs. Wamuu)

Reluctantly recognizing Joseph's abilities, Caesar leads him to an underground complex guarded by German forces.
The Pillar Men were supposedly held in place by some kind of ultraviolet technology.
But instead, they find the awakened Pillar Men: Kars, Esidisi, and Wamuu, and all the guards butchered.
Caesar used his Hamon attack on Wamuu only to find that it was ineffective and that he was badly outmatched.
Following Caesar's lead, Joseph attacks, but is easily brushed away as Wamuu slices open his wrist.
With an arrogant laugh, Wamuu declares the battle of the "Blood Clock" underway.

Episode 3: The Disturbing Esidisi (Joseph Joestar vs. Esidisi)

Thanks to Joseph's quick thinking and courage, he and Caesar manage to survive their first encounter with the Pillar Men.
But Wamuu and Esidisi embed "wedding rings of death" with Joseph's body.
Moved by Joseph's bravery, Caesar brings him to his master, Lisa Lisa, so they can train together.
Lisa Lisa was one of the surviving Hamon Knights, those charged with protecting the Red Stone of Aja from the Pillar Men.
Together with Caesar, Joseph trains under Lisa Lisa, gradually improving his Hamon skills.
But on the night of his final trial, Joseph is suddenly faced with Esidisi and his fiery wrath.

Episode 4: Zeppeli's Soul (Caesar Zeppeli vs. Wamuu)

Even after Joseph's Hamon rips him apart, Esidisi remains alive, nothing more than a brain stem.
Esidisi takes over the body of Lisa Lisa's servant, Suzie Q, steals the Red Stone of Aja, and sends it to San Moritz in Switzerland.
Chasing after the Red Stone, Joseph encounters the newly mechanized Stroheim, and Kars, one of the Pillar Men.
After defeating Kars, Joseph successfully retrieves the Red Stone.
The next day, the group bickers over how to deal with Kars. Caesar rushes impetuously to the hotel where his enemies lie in wait.
There, he comes face to face with the Pillar Man, Wamuu.
Impressed by Caesar's growth as a warrior, Wamuu declares that he is "worthy to die by his hand" and attacks.

Episode 5: Return to Wind (Joseph Joestar vs. Wamuu)

Caesar appears to be completely dominating Wamuu with his Hamon.
But a brief lapse in judgment gives his foe the chance to strike back.
Fatally wounded by Wamuu's attack, Caesar summons his last ounce of strength and rips out Wamuu's antidote-laced lip piercing.
After encasing the piercing and his bandanna inside a bubble of blood for Joseph, Caesar shuffles off his mortal coil.
With no time to even grieve, Joseph and Lisa Lisa set off to defeat the Pillar Men once and for all.
Joseph and Wamuu enter the battle arena with the Red Stone of Aja hanging in the balance.

Episode 6: The Ties of Lisa Lisa and JoJo (Joseph Joestar vs. Kars)

The battle with Wamuu concluded, it was Lisa Lisa's turn to face off against Kars.
But though Kars swore to fight fairly, he defeats Lisa Lisa with an underhanded trick.
Snatching up the Red Stone, he orders his vampire underlings to dispatch Joseph at once.
Joseph, already exhausted from his battle against Wamuu, is soon cornered by the vampires.
Just then, a German squadron led by Stroheim arrives, accompanied by a special group of tactical troops from the Speedwagon Foundation.
Their counterattack succeeds in annihilating the vampire horde.
With that, Joseph challenges Kars to one final battle.

Final Episode: The Ultimate Being (Joseph Joestar vs. Kars)

Joseph's chop smashes through Kars' blade, sending a lethal dose of Hamon energy into his body.
But as Stroheim's ultraviolet ray streaks toward Kars, he reveals the Stone Mask, now embedded with the Red Stone of Aja.
The stone absorbs the ray, activating the mask and "pushing" Kars' brain to a new level.
Thus, Kars is reborn... as the Ultimate Life Form!
Unlike Stroheim and Speedwagon, who were overcome with fear, Joseph declares that he still has a plan.
Grabbing the freed Red Stone, Joseph begins to run away as fast as he can.
Intending to kill him once and for all, Kars launches into a vicious series of attacks.

To defeat the Ultimate Life Form Kars, Joseph boards a fighter plane and heads towards Vulcano Island in Italy.
But Joseph is badly injured by Kars, and he himself is caught in the erupting volcano.

Kars: Ah yes, this Hamon is most suitable to send you into the dark abyss of death!

You'll be melted before you hit the bottom of the ravine!
What?! The Red Stone is--!

Joseph: The Stone... It's a Hamon amplifier!

Kars: I'll just shapeshift into a bird and escape!

What the--

Joseph: The earth's energy... it's moving at an incredible speed!

That's why my severed hand went flying--right into your throat!
Here's your next line: "Was this all part of your plan, JoJo?"

Kars: Was this all part--

Joseph: Of course it was! JoJo always accounts for every last contingency!

Or well, not really. I'm just saying it because I know it'll piss you off. Hah!

Using the energy from the eruption, Joseph manages to send Kars flying beyond the Earth's atmosphere.
And with that...
Kars was never to return to Earth again.
Existing as something half-rock and half-living creature, he was now doomed to spend all of eternity drifting through space.
He could no longer even find peace in death, and so--
--After a while, Kars ceased even to think.
Meanwhile, Joseph, presumed dead, somehow managed to miraculously survive the eruption.
He makes a surprise appearance in front of his friends, accompanied by his new wife: Lisa Lisa's former servant, Suzie Q.
Time flows and yet another new generation comes to pass.
But, whither JoJo...?
