You can customize Zero's abilities by equipping Chips to his head, body, and feet. You can have one Head Chip, one Body Chip, and one Foot Chip equipped at a time. Of the fifteen Chips, nine are obtained from defeating bosses, the remaining six are hidden in the stages.
