Treasure Box in the tree
Press Up between these trees to find a treasure chest containing an Elixir. At one point in the game the trader's camel hints at the secret being there, but the chest can actually be claimed at any time.
Gold Multiplyer (untested)
"In the game exist a cheat that I don't know how can I make it. It's about the treasure chests that gives gold. I was at the Mute tower (2nd stage) and opened a treasure chest. I made some moves at directional button and acidentally make the cheat: I was with 700 gold (example) and suddenly, after the cheat, I was with more than 7000!"
It is unclear how this was done. Perhaps you press a key code while you see the animation of Asha opening the chest?
Edit@07-November-2006: It's not a cheat, more like a secret. I'm not sure how it works either, but all you have to do is gather more than a specified amount of money (more than 750 I'm sure, maybe 777) at Mute Tower and it will start raising your money until you have 7777 (all lucky 7s). However, it only works until a certain point of Mute Tower, so I advise gathering money outside the Tower and before the first locked gate inside it to be sure it will work, because this extra money is really something at the beggining of the game.
Emulator-only Cheats
Thanks to the work of the Gens Plus! team, there is now a plethora of cheats for getting items and gold for free, including the Debug Armor which is inaccessible by any other method. This method only works in Gens Plus!, no other emulator or cheat device supports this patch format.
Download this cheat file and rename it to match the name of your patched ROM. It may or may not work with untranslated ROM dumps, but will work with both the partial and v1.2 translations.
