*'''Kecleon Shop'''
**This shared shop is where items can be bought and sold. Even though they have a relatively small stock, the inventory resets and changes every day(after sleeping/saving). It is a good idea to take a look at their inventory every day for a desirable TM or a big apple.
**The Green Kecleon sells normal items like apples, berries, and gravelrocks
**The Purple Kecleon sells expensive items like Orbs and TMs.
*'''Felicity Bank'''
**The Persian that runs this bank will watch over your poké. If there is any chance you will be dying in a dungeon it is best to leave all of your poké with her since when you die all the money you have will be gone.
*'''Gulpin Link Shop'''
**For 150 Poké Gulpin will happily link 2 or more of your moves with each other. This will cause them to be used at the same time. If you want to learn more about linking, read the [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon/Battle Concepts|Battle Concepts]].
*'''Kangaskhan Storage'''
**Kangaskhan will let you drop off your items here for safe keeping. This not only keeps an item safe for use later but it frees up your relatively small inventory space for items found in dungeons.
** Good things to always have a couple saved: When you have surplus Apples and berries it is best to save at least a few of them. Many future dungeons are incredibly long and filled with Pokémon that cause status effects. TMs and Gummies are good to hold onto for improving yourself and your Pokémon team mates. Reviver seeds are important so make sure to save any you don't plan to use.
*'''Pelliper Post Office'''
**This is where Pokémon come to get help by sending letters to rescue teams. Use their bulletin board outside to sign up for more missions for additional Poké, items, and rank. Often when finishing a mission the thankful Pokémon will leave a tip of good items or Poké.
*'''The Bulletin Board'''
**This is where new non-story related missions can be found. Like the Kecleon shop the things here are randomly different each day. Common rewards are Poké or items. On rare occasions there are rewards like friend areas.

Once back from the last mission you sleep and have a strange dream. It feels familiar but nothing can be made out. Upon waking up the dream is forgotten.

Your partner has been waiting to meet you outside. Both of you find some disappointing news at the mailbox. There are no new missions or mail of any kind today. The partner expected this since your rescue team was only recently made. Instead he is going to give you a grand tour of the Pokémon Square and most importantly, the bulletin board beside the Pelliper Post Office.

Going on random missions from the bulletin board and wandering around town is now available. To begin the Mt. Steel story arc just go to the far right to the Pelliper Post office's bulletin board. Do a mission in Tiny Woods or Thunderwave Cave. If there are multiple missions for the same location on the bulletin board you can accept all of them and do them all in one outing. After the mission and you get home the Mt. Steel story arc will begin.

Mt. Steel[edit]

After given the option to save you have the same dream. An earthquake startles you out of your dream. In the morning you awaken to a voice that seems to be coming from nowhere. It turns out to be an upset Dugtrio that is distressed by the disappearance of their child, Diglett. Once outside your partner joins you and the Dugtrio finally.

A Skarmory took Diglett and flew to the top of Mt. Steel. Since the slopes are made of rock Dugtrio can't go up there. Your rescue team has a new important mission.

The Dungeon[edit]

There is no chance of finding a Monster House, a shop, or a buried item in this dungeon.

This is the very first boss you have to fight. Bosses are stronger than the Pokémon faced earlier in their dungeon so be prepared. Begin the battle with any stat increasing or lowering attacks and use what damaging moves are still available.

Since his type is Steel/Flying, Cyndaquil, Charmander, Pikachu and Torchic will have it much easier than the rest. If you picked a Grass type, then don't use any grass moves on Skarmory.

After the battle[edit]

After Skarmory is defeated, he will fly off. When you and your partner go to rescue Diglett, it becomes apparent that the way is blocked by a cliff. The two Magnemite you helped out earlier show up and help Diglett down.

Once everyone returns to headquarters Diglett's father Dugtrio shows up to thank the team and Magnemites.

As the Magnemites begin to leave your partner stops them with an offer to join the rescue team. They like the offer but have to decline because there is nowhere close by to live.

It is agreed that tomorrow the team will go to Wigglytuff Club in Pokémon Square to learn about friend areas.
