The groundbreaking visuals garnered much praise, especially Fox's new furry look. The Zelda-like gameplay was also considered one of the title's strengths, but some argued that it was too much of a departure from previous Star Fox games.
This game is the only other game which uses the Zelda style gameplay in which you jump automatically between ledges and climbing up ladders. Also the combat is done in a similar fashion but uses the staff instead of a sword.

It was the last game developed by Rare for Nintendo, before the company was acquired as a first-party developer for Microsoft's Xbox. It is the third game in the series, succeeding Star Fox 64, and the first game in the series to feature on-foot combat.

This game is the only other game which uses the Zelda style gameplay in which you jump automatically between ledges and climbing up ladders. Also the combat is done in a similar fashion but uses the staff instead of a sword.

Story

Dinosaur General guy starts causing havoc on Dinosaur Planet. Krystal tries to fight them, gets hurt, sends a distress beacon, Star Fox comes to help.
