**That is specific to BlueCloud and is therefore not likely to change (it might).  You can always use Monobook if that is what you're used to. -- Prod (Talk) 20:39, 7 November 2007 (CST)

:::It's what I am used to, due to Wikipedia and other wikis, but I'd like to keep using BlueCloud--it's got a nice charm to it. If there is a CSS mod I can do, just tell me about it and I'll write it myself; I'm not inept at that. As far as I can see, any modification beyond that would just be changing the color of the images used for the tabs up top, and that's even easier.
Really, if someone tells me how to move that tab, or at least how to learn to move that tab, I'll set out to do it and share my results with anyone who'd also want what I do. -- <span style="color:green"><font size="3pt">towers</font></span> <span class="plainlinks sigimage">http://media.strategywiki.org/images/a/a8/Towers_trex.gif</span> 20:57, 7 November 2007 (CST)

Revision as of 02:57, 8 November 2007

A new default skin is being developed for the StrategyWiki site. If you have any suggestions for beneficial features, or complaints with the current set up that could be changed, please feel free to comment here.

Suggestions

• Move either of the Watch/Unwatch links to the same location, either in the toolbox, or on top.
• Done. --DrBob Needcat icon.png0005.svg 07:56, 28 August 2007 (CDT)
• Highlight the Talk link on each page to show if it has been created or not.
• If you really want to find out, just look at the bar at the bottom of your browser, if it says "&action=edit" after the name then it doesn't exist--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk Contributions ) 10:22, 5 March 2007 (CST)
• PHP changes have been made; just some CSS changes needed now. --DrBob Needcat icon.png0005.svg 07:56, 28 August 2007 (CDT)
• A better way of doing ToC's (see here for one idea (still disputed))
• I think this has been decided against. -- Prod (Talk) 22:52, 28 August 2007 (CDT)
• Might be just my computer, but links don't change color after being visited.
• I personally don't like links to change after I visit them. Maybe we can implement an option under preferences? --DukeRuckley 16:19, 10 January 2007 (CST)
• Links changing colours are supposed to be a major thing for web usability. Getting them to work one way or the other isn't difficult (check my css) but I think default should be colour changing. -- Prod (Talk) 16:30, 10 January 2007 (CST)
• Prod should've implemented this. --DrBob Needcat icon.png0005.svg 07:56, 28 August 2007 (CDT)
• I personally don't like that green-ish color that Prod has in his css though, but like I said above, this is also fixed in CSS Pak 1. --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 12:28, 28 August 2007 (CDT)
• The colour you picked is far too similar to the standard blue, and the a.new purple. I'm open to suggestions (DrBob suggested a brownish colour). -- Prod (Talk) 22:52, 28 August 2007 (CDT)
• Implement a min-width
• Have the navigation stuff on the left side of the page stay stationary (I know they did this with Monobook, but I can't find it anymore :P).
• What about a most visited page for every user to find the pages that they're working on? It seems a bit wrong adding all of them to your user page.
• Just add the pages in question to your watchlist, then you can go to them whenever when you click "My Watchlist" on the top. --Ryan SchmidtTalk - Contribs 08:44, 17 May 2007 (CDT)
• This would have to be changed on MediaWiki itself. You might want to open a bug. -- Prod (Talk) 22:52, 28 August 2007 (CDT)
• I don't like the dotted line that comes with the third-level headings:

Like this

I think it would look tidier as just the heading, like on Wikipedia. --RamonSalazar 14:37, 26 February 2007 (CST)

• This is a tiny bit pedantic, but is there any way to include the 'japanese title' parametre on the 'new gamepage' template? Sure, not all video games are made in Japan, but the sheer number of Japanese games put out in the US and EU make it worth less effort to just remove the Japanese title parametre than to constantly have to type it in. Or perhaps I'm just overestimating the number of Japanese games out on the market (well, considering that 2 of the major consoles at the moment are Japanese, it isn't that wild an assumption).--Froglet 08:59, 6 September 2007 (CDT)
• I don't know if this relates to skinning or something harder, but it would be nice if the talk pages for articles were on the top, with the other tabs, rather than on the side. -- towers http://media.strategywiki.org/images/a/a8/Towers_trex.gif 17:39, 7 November 2007 (CST)

It's what I am used to, due to Wikipedia and other wikis, but I'd like to keep using BlueCloud--it's got a nice charm to it.
