Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Billybob! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. Please remember to sign your name on, and only on, talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- najzereT 18:59, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

External links[edit]

The link you've added to the reference on The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening/Cheats has no connection to those cheats. As such, the link will not remain on the page. Re-adding it will result in a ban. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:19, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Your contributions are recorded in the page history. Credits are not allowed to remain on article pages for cleanliness' sake. Also, your discoveries are not property. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:33, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
As you can see, I've removed the rest of the references as well. When I saw the one you added, I was not aware that the others were unnecessary as well. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:36, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Also, sign your posts. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:36, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
It looks like 3 years ago Garrett did not follow standards that we created more recently. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:42, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
If you'd like to double check the codes, go ahead. But crediting a source has nothing to do with "verifying" information; it just lets readers know where a contributor may have gotten their info. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:54, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
What is your problem? The research page is just a reference. The content you are referring to wasn't even written by an admin; nor does it look like it has been revised. Currently, you are just pointing fingers without even stating your agenda. If I can help you I will. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 22:06, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, I'm getting a feeling I know what this arguement is about. Billybob, are you a Wikipedia user by any chance? It's just that Wikipedia want everything to be referenced so they know where people got the info (since it's an encyclopedia basically and people could just be making stuff up) but here on SW we don't really do references, as it's seen here as advertising (for some reason). That may or may not be what everyone (well... NMH) is going on about. --Melon247 Hammy, my hamster. Cute! (talk · contribs · comp) 07:39, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
