Welcome to StrategyWiki!

Hello Myth! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the community portal talk page. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- Prod (Talk) 19:26, 17 May 2007 (CDT)

Please be careful not to start suffering from Editcountitis ;) -- Prod (Talk) 12:21, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
Don't worry about becoming an admin, it's just added responsibility with no glory :P. And it's a good thing you aren't suffering from editcountitis, cause you'll never catch up with me!!! I mean...ahem. -- Prod (Talk) 23:05, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
If you need a page deleted, mark it with {{delete}} and a reason. If you accidentally put info on one page, and meant to have it somewhere else, use the "Move" button at the top of the page and move it to its new location. -- Prod (Talk) 20:41, 25 June 2007 (CDT)

Diamond/Pearl

Let me know what kind of screenshots you want for the game (and which version you want them from, if that matters, I'll use Diamond if you don't specify one). I've recently downloaded the ROMs for both D and P (they run slower than heck, but hey, they work). I obviously won't be able to get screenshots from later in the game yet, but I can help out with the early stuff. Also, you should archive your talk page, it is getting pretty large. --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 09:51, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

You didn't ask, I just thought I'd be helpful. --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 23:34, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
Usually, the guide sections (like Twinleaf Town and whatnot). As for why not later in the game, I haven't began playing it yet :P. Just tell me whatever parts you think would help illustrate the strategy. --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 08:51, 20 June 2007 (CDT)

Congrats

Just to let you know, you're almost in the running for the coveted "more edits to your user page than edits to guides" award. NMH is the champ, but you're almost about to pass him. Procyon (Talk) 15:00, 22 June 2007 (CDT)
Disclaimer: The above comment was a joke, and should be read with a sense of humor.

Offering help with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon item list

Whew, long title. I saw that you are adding to the item list and it looks like slow going. I would like to jump in and help you add to the bulk of the data. All I do is hoard items in the game so I have most of them in my storage for easy access to the information.

The placement of some of the seeds and orbs will be a bit odd how things are organised right now(damage and healing) so I may let you deal with figuring out where they go. For now I will just start adding Gummis and TMs to the list since they are absent.

Hopefully this will be ok. Since I am new to this whole wiki thing I am uncertain if there are any specific types of etiquette I should be following. This made swinging by and letting you know what my intent is sound like a good idea. --Zaiqukaj 06:59, 23 June 2007 (CDT)

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon/Walkthrough

Hi Myth. You put a Template:Tl tag on Pokémon Mystery Dungeon/Walkthrough, but it can't be deleted, because the Walkthrough page is an integral part of each guide. You'll have to move stuff around so that it's used properly and not duplicated. ;-) Thanks. --DrBob (Talk) 16:56, 29 June 2007 (CDT)

It has 3 sentences on the page, nothing major about that. Check out our standard example guide for what that page should look like. -- Prod (Talk) 23:42, 29 June 2007 (CDT)

"I put it there because it couldn't be turned into what was suggested on the talk page, and it has no usful content as of now. It will have to be majorly redone if it's going to stay. Myth 23:38, 29 June 2007 (CDT)"

"I see. Great example ^_^ BTW, the page length for Pokemon Mystery dungeon isn't the problem; the problem is the fact that it's a separate strategy for a section, putting it out of context. Myth (talk)"

Myth, I'm losing my patience—no, I've already lost it a while ago. Just shut up, stop coming up with pointless explanations, and fix the page already! As of right now, for better or for worse, you are the primary contributor to that guide. If you can't take responsibility for replacing the content of one page (which you are driving everyone else nuts about) then what are you doing here? You made Garrett take the time to do something, that should have taken you five minutes to do on your own, just to stop your complaining. And I'm very upset about that. That he felt he had to take the time to do something you should have done on your own. You spent more time whining about why the page needs to go than it would have taken you to replace the content with something useful! How hard is it to erase what was there and put something like "Walkthrough explanation coming soon." or "This page will explain how to use the guide." or anything!!! There is no one on this site who need his hand held as much as you, and I don't understand why. Everyone starts out new and has to learn, but this goes way beyond learning how to edit guides. If you want to continue to be a valued member of this community, you're going to have to start taking responsibility for the problems that you create, and fix them on your own. There are no if's, and's, or but's about it. Do not allow this situation to repeat itself. Procyon (Talk) 06:05, 30 June 2007 (CDT)
As I said, the Walkthrough page is an integral part of every guide, and cannot be deleted or missed out. I know you have the best of intentions, but you should embrace the Wikipedia ideal of being bold more. :-) --DrBob (Talk) 14:17, 30 June 2007 (CDT)
I appreciate the response that you left on my talk page. I'm glad that you understood my point, despite the amount of anger I used when expressing it. Myth, you don't need to justify yourself to me or to anyone else. All we ask is that you be as accountable for your work as we all are. I know that you can, you've shown us when it was about something that was really important to you. There are fun aspects about writing a guide, and not-so-fun aspects. Good writers treat both kinds of aspects (the fun and not-so-fun) with equal importance. I'm now confident that you will know how to resolve similar matters in the future. Your sig

Hi, sometimes I see you add a talk link at the end of your sig, to add this in, go to preferences and add in the nickname this code [[User:Myth|Myth]] ([[User talk:Myth|Talk]]) there, then tick the checkbox under it, sorry if I've said this before and hope this helps.--Rocky http://media.strategywiki.org/images/thumb/7/78/Rally-X_Rock.png/25px-Rally-X_Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 06:59, 30 June 2007 (CDT)

You need to tick the box saying "Raw signatures (without automatic link)" then it should work.--Rocky http://media.strategywiki.org/images/thumb/7/78/Rally-X_Rock.png/25px-Rally-X_Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 01:50, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
