Hi. That message was semi-automated in that it's a pre-written message, but I had to act to put it on your talk page. :-) I think it would be best if you tried to write a guide first, as we've got enough people on cleanup at the moment, and it takes quite detailed knowledge of how to do things to get cleanup right. Besides, we always want new guides! Thanks, and happy contributing! --[[User:DrBob|DrBob]] ([[User_talk:DrBob|talk]]) 14:53, 5 November 2007 (CST)

== Image naming ==
I see you've been uploading a few images lately. When doing so, could you please make sure to name them properly? The image policy is viewable [[StrategyWiki:Images|here]], and contains all the information you'll need to name future uploads. --{{User:Ryan Schmidt/sig}} 16:38, 7 November 2007 (CST)
:Sorry to be a dick about this to a brand-new user, but it's true. The following images:
:* [[:Image:Trex.gif]]
:* [[:Image:Slsk.png]]
:* [[:Image:Pinktriangle.png]]
:are all incorrectly named. Please upload these images with proper names (see the link in the paragraph above), and fix the current usage of those images to the new ones so that I may delete the incorrectly-named images (hint: just put an "Towers_" or something in front of the current name). --{{User:Ryan Schmidt/sig}} 16:38, 7 November 2007 (CST)
::No problem :) --{{User:Ryan Schmidt/sig}} 17:36, 7 November 2007 (CST)

Both :). Though it's not the only allowable version. You'll find a few other ways of doing the /Walkthrough page around the site, but this is the "suggested" version. -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|Talk]]) 20:09, 7 November 2007 (CST)

If you still need the code for the skin, you can copy it from [http://strategywiki.org/w/index.php?title=User:Rocky/BlueCloud.js&action=edit&oldid=211907 here]--<small>The preceding signed comment was added by [[User:Rocky|Rocky]] ([[User talk:Rocky|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Rocky|contribs]]).</small> 04:17, 18 November 2007 (CST)
:I've fixed [[User:Ryan Schmidt/GetSkin|GetSkin]], and your js page, so it should work now, just clear your cache again (shift+refresh for firefox, ctrl+f5 for IE, and not sure for anything else). --{{User:Ryan Schmidt/sig}} 10:31, 18 November 2007 (CST)
::If you were talking about how I fixed the template thingy, it's because I had the /noinclude in the wrong spot. If you were talking about how I made that reskin... [[User:Ryan Schmidt/Reskin/AutumnLeaf.css|click  here]] for the CSS. --{{User:Ryan Schmidt/sig}} 12:42, 18 November 2007 (CST)
Well, the js file is just how you actually use the reskin, you need CSS in order to actually make it. All reskins should be compatible with my [[User:Ryan Schmidt/GetSkin]] template, so you need to create your reskin at [[User:Towers/Reskin/ReskinName.css]], and some description for the reskin at [[User:Towers/Reskin/ReskinName]] (of course, replace ReskinName with the name of your reskin). On the CSS page, just add in the CSS properties you want to change. Simple as that! Of course, if you don't care about making the reskin as publicly available as it is through GetSkin, you can just modify [[User:Towers/BlueCloud.css]] and put the stuff in there (and then you don't even need to use GetSkin in your js to get it, you'll have it automatically). --{{User:Ryan Schmidt/sig}} 12:58, 18 November 2007 (CST)
The reason it didn't work when you tried it was because I had a bug in GetSkin, where it was including more than it should (I'm guessing you put <nowiki>{{subst:User:Ryan Schmidt/GetSkin|AutumnLeaf}}</nowiki> into your js file). Once I fixed the GetSkin template, I re-substituted it into your js file, and that's why it worked. It was an error on my part, not yours. --{{User:Ryan Schmidt/sig}} 14:31, 18 November 2007 (CST)
== Deleting pages ==
Hi. If you want to tag a page for deletion by a sysop, please use the {{t|delete}} template, and provide a reason. Also, is it OK if I delete [[User:Towers/Spoilers]], or do you want to keep it? --[[User:DrBob|DrBob]] ([[User_talk:DrBob|talk]]) 08:15, 18 November 2007 (CST)

Having the information on the page itself (somewhere) and then cutting out the junk is usually easier than trying to go through the history looking for tidbits of information.  I would suggest you just get rid of whatever you are sure you won't need, and just clean it up as you put together the new page. People can still find the info they need, it just won't look as nice.
Getting images to link anywhere apart from their image page is difficult and "hacky", especially in a gallery.  There are a few ways of laying out the page, one being a section for each with their image, stats and some information about them.  Another is by setting up a table with one column for the image, one for stats (or a separate column for each stat) and maybe one column for a description.  If you can come up with a more appropriate method, that's great.
My personal opinion is that listings of Bosses are pointless (except in some cases like MegaMan games).  The boss only shows up in one place in the guide, and if people want to find information about him, they can just check the location in the guide (which is where they would be if they were following our guide anywayz).  On the other hand, enemies can be encountered in multiple locations in the game, and sometimes it's nice to have all their information in one place to compare the enemies (especially RPGs).

:You can check out the [[MapleStory]] enemies pages and the [[Battlestations: Midway]] nations pages for some examples.  [[The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past]] also has another take on the enemies pages. -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|Talk]]) 16:03, 5 December 2007 (CST)

Please do not respond to junk on SW (like on the Qcoolmatrezaeras page), it's the same as contributing to it.  Instead, feel free to notify one of the sysops.  Thanks T.  --{{User:Notmyhandle/Sig}} 19:21, 8 December 2007 (CST)
== LastFM ubx ==
Hi
I copied the lastFM userbox from your page and used it on mine. You said that you wanted to be credited if anyone uses it, so I added a paragraph about the origin of the box at the sourcepage of the box (on my page). Hope that is OK with you. greetings .... --[[User:Bmuig|Bmuig]] 08:14, 26 December 2007 (CST)([[User Talk: Bmuig|talk]])
