World of Warcraft (WoW) allows each class in the game the ability to take on one of many roles. WoW accomplishes this by implementing a talent system. Each class has three unique trees of talents that unlock new skills and abilities or enhance already existent abilities. A class can specialize (spec) into a certain tree or trees to focus gameplay towards one aspect of a class. Beginning at level 10 and continuing until the maximum level, one talent point is given to a character whenever it attains a new level. That talent point can be placed in any talent on any tree as long as it meets the prerequisites. Typical prerequisites include having x number of talents in a tree or putting talent points into another talent.
