Objectives[edit]
- Follow Captain MacTavish.
- Find a way into the base.
- Plant explosives on the pipeline.
- Get to the satellite.
- Retrieve the ACS module.
- Escape with Captain MacTavish.
- Obtain a snowmobile.
- Get to the extraction point.
Walkthrough[edit]
After you gain control of your character, follow Captain MacTavish around the cliff. Once he starts climbing, follow the on-screen commands to climb up the ice. Take this slowly as you have a fairly long time staying still before the ice breaks. After you get to the top, sprint and jump to where Captain MacTavish is. You will fall, use both picks to slow your fall then climb up again and jump up the ledges.
You will see two enemies, kill the one on the left when MacTavish tells you to, then continue forward and do this again to the next group of enemies.
Now you will split up, to get the Ghost Achievement, you will have to plant the C4 without alerting or killing any more enemies. If you are not going for this, then go up the tower near you and get the intelligence. Get back down then make our way to near the objective marker. go prone on the left and side and wait for MacTavish to shoot the two enemies close to it, then continue onwards. The game should save here. (If you opt to kill all the hostiles and destroy the jeep patrol, Captain MacTavish will make a funny comment about the jeep).
Now go to the south. Make sure you have your heartbeat sensor out, move to the objective point, if you see an enemy on the right hand side, stop and look at him, he will be killed by Captain MacTavish. After he's gone, the coast should be clear so, staying on the right, get up and walk to the pipeline. Plant the C4.

Now sprint to the Jeep near the control tower for cover, then sprint across to the next building and go round it to where MacTavish is lying. Behind you in the other aircraft hanger is some intelligence (shoot the middle window and you can get it). Then go inside the hanger to obtain the ACS module. There will be no enemies. Once you get it, go back to where MacTavish is and crouch, at any time, blow up the C4 then kill the enemies. You now have to get out of the base.
Follow MacTavish to the concrete blocks, shoot out until the MiG blows up then once you are sure it's safe, rush towards it and use it for cover. Once you are safe, rush to the next objective point. There should be one or two enemies to your right, if you stick to the left you should be able to avoid them, if they start shooting then shoot them back. Once you reach the hill, slide down it. Take cover near the building on the left as enemies will appear at the top of the hill. Kill them all and enemies on snowmobiles will arrive. Kill the two at the top of the hill, then rush to the middle of the area. Kill any troops on the remaining snowmobiles, then get on the one that the objective indicator is pointing to and start to drive.
Head to the right as soon as you get on the snowmobile, keep full throttle at all times. If any enemies are directly in front of you, shoot at them, after going to the right for a bit, you will find an island of trees with two paths going on either side, there is some intelligence in the middle. If you do not wish to get this then take the left path as it is quicker. In the next part there is a lot of enemies on foot, if you want, you can run them over and you will most likely get the "Drive By" Achievement.

After you get this, continue forward, there will be a frozen path that you should stay in the middle of and then you will be going down a steep slope, you may want to relax the throttle a bit here until you get near the end. Then jump the gap at full speed and the mission ends.

Intelligence[edit]
- After killing the second set of guards, there will be a tower with a ladder going up to it, climb the ladder to get the intelligence.
- After planting the C4, go to the trench where Captain MacTavish is, then turn right instead of left, there will be 3 windows to an aircraft hanger, shoot the middle window then look inside and pick up the Intelligence.
- In the snowmobile race, before the long line of ground enemies, there will be some trees in the middle of the path, you can either go on the path to the left or the right, if you go slowly through the trees in the middle, you will find the intelligence. Drive over it to pick it up. This may take some time to get as if you go over the mound to the ground enemies, you cannot go back. A good landmark to remember is a wooden fence just before this piece of intel.
